A list of puns related to "All Star Comics"
UPDATE: Weβve got to get going, but thanks for all the questions! You can catch up on HAPPY! Season 2 here: https://syfy.tv/2CFtWvs
Iβm Grant Morrison and I write comic books that some you may have heard of, including The Invisibles, Batman, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, All Star Superman, and of course HAPPY!, which is now a TV series.
Iβm Patton Oswalt and I play Happy, an imaginary friend thatβs a goofy little blue unicorn. You may recognize me from my comedy specials or roles in Parks and Recreation and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., to name a few.
We canβt wait to answer all your questions before an all-new episode tonight at 10/9c on SYFY. You can catch up on the first three episodes of the season here: https://syfy.tv/2CFtWvs

What should they do for Wonder Woman's anniversary?
"80 Years of Wonder Woman" in 2021? She first appeared in 1941.
"All Star Comics #100" in 2021? Leading up to it with 26 issues.
"Sensation Comics #150" in 2022? Leading up to it with 74 issues.
I have seen many readers hating on it and I want to know why ?! It is interesting that we got to have some adventures featuring Luke,Han and Leia between ANH and ESB,to me it's like "The Clone Wars but set between ANH and ESB and in comic format"
Hey bois, I've been a lifelong fan of Star Wars but since the release of episode Seven my inner boomer lost all interest in the series. But recently I've been obsessed with watching lore videos about SW and developed interest again. I noticed that all those videos use a lot of the comics as references and discussion points so I figured I would give it a shot. What's the correct order to read the comics and which ones should I read?

/u/MiserableSnow's submission on the Stan Lee-vintage Nick Fury comics' stance on certain issues put me in mind of an article I read about the Garth Ennis version of Nick Fury. It was originally written by Arya Ponto, but the website it was on has gone down. I saved it at the time because it was a great article that I thought penetrated really well a lot of what works in one of the best writers working in the medium, through the lens of a critically under-read and under-scrutinised work of his. So I'll reproduce it here...
As the US government continues its deliberation on the plans to attack Syria, we are once again facing the possibility of starting another war, regardless of the Presidentβs promise of it being swift and without βboots on the ground.β Youβll find people who are supportive, and people who are upset, but the general feeling can be summed up with here we go again.
Thereβs a morbid familiarity to it, and thatβs a theme that resonates strongly in a recent comic called Fury: My War Gone By, the latest work by Garth Ennis to feature Marvel Comics super-spy Nick Fury. It is an adult-oriented, out-of-continuity limited series from writer Ennis and artist Goran Parlov, which wrapped a couple of months back and is now available in trade paperback format.
Neither of the creators are American-born, and yet with this book, theyβve created one of the most brilliant books about 20th Century America.
With Nick Fury as its focal point, of course weβre talking about America in terms of its military superpower. The series takes place almost entirely outside the country, so it largely centers on Americaβs foreign policy and the shady shit government spooks had done in third world countries to assert power andβmore importantlyβprofit.
And at the center of it all is a man in love with war.
Contains heavy spoilers.
βWhatever else you are, youβre still American soldiers. Donβt you understand what that means?β - Fury: My War Gone By #12
Garth Ennis was an Irish boy in love with America. This much has always been clear from the comics he writes, even all the way back when he was doing Judge Dredd strips on British publication 2000AD. Ennis wrote stories that waxed poetic about the ills and highs of American democracy, and the continuing perseverance of the spirit of her people even in Dreddβs dystopian future.
Probably no surprise then that Ennis moved to New York (where else would an Irishman go in America?) a decade ago and obtai
