A list of puns related to "Albert Bandura"
^^^ Title
Albert Bandura was born in Mandare, Alberta on December 4 1925.
Bandura got into psychology as a fluke, because he needed to fill his morning classes with something so he chose psychology. He graduated 3 years later from UBC with the Bolocan Award in psychology, and then moved to the then 'capitol of psychology' the university of Idaho, where he achieved his M.A in 1951 and his PHD in 1952. In 1953, Bandura accepted a teaching position at Stanford university which he stayed until 2010.
Albert Bandura was mostly interested in Social Behavior psychology, which he linked to social learning, aggression, and observational learning. He later made the "bobo doll experiment" which studied the willingness of children to imitate the behavior in others especially adults and especially aggression.
Albert is seen as one of the pivotal figures in bringing behavioral psychology into cognitive psychology

I spent this past weekend preparing a presentation on Albert Bandura, whose is the 4th most cited psychologist EVER and the most cited living psychologist. His studies have centered around social cognitive, including efficacy. Anyway, I was listening to the song βstrangers to ourselvesβ and though I have heard it many many times before, it wasnβt until just now when I heard it and was like βwoah, Issac is capturing social cognitive in a song!β. Iβm geeking out over this and if I get to meet either of them (albert Bandura is 94)...I would drop each of their names on each other, letting them know I used that opportunity only to do that. Dr. Bandura also worries about the environment, which goes along with our bad social cognitive habits....

Hi, I was looking to branch out of my engineering field and perhaps read a little psychology this summer. I've read that Albert Bandura's Self Efficacy book is one of the more recent, influential pieces of literature.
It's basically a textbook.
Could anyone recommend me highlights of the book or perhaps links to journals/articles that discuss key concepts of the book?
Thanks in advance,
Hey guys, so I was watching the experiment in my HS psychology class and my teacher told us that the boy who was in the video (link at the bottom) had died, meanwhile another teacher says that he is a functioning member of society right now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

Hi /r/selfhelp ! I just made a video touching on the research paper titled Self-Efficacy by Albert Bandura. I filmed it over a video game called Maplestory. If you want to go straight to when I talk about his research paper -- skip ahead to: 4:36 or use this link instead: https://youtu.be/iL7HC3yKVYc?t=4m36s
Let me know if you found my advice helpful and if you think I can improve on anything. Thank you! :)
It's not fine, a father (or at least a father-figure like a good step dad) is essential for the ideal development of both boys and girls. Mothers certainly bring a lot to the table, and yes, it's possible to make due without, but it's hardly the optimal condition. The statistics for single motherhood and the adults produced from such a social environment are quite clear, and they are NOT good.
>The dominant role of fathers in preventing delinquency is well-established. Over fifty years ago, this phenomenon was highlighted in the classic studies of the causes of delinquency by Sheldon and Eleanor Glueck of Harvard University.22) They described in academic terms what many children hear their mothers so often say: βWait till your father gets home!β In a well-functioning family, the very presence of the father embodies authority, an authority conveyed through his daily involvement in family life.23) This paternal authority is critical to the prevention of psychopathology and delinquency.24)
>The benefits a child receives from his relationship with his father are notably different from those derived from his relationship with his mother. The father contributes a sense of paternal authority and discipline which is conveyed through his involved presence.25) The additional benefits of his affection and attachment add to this primary benefit. Albert Bandura, professor of psychology at Stanford University, observed as early as 1959 that delinquents suffer from an absence of the father's affection.26)

In other words, fatherless homes promote social degeneracy of almost all kinds. Worse educational outcomes, more drug abuse, obesity, more criminal behavior, teen pregnancy, behavioral problems, more likely to face abuse/neglect, less wealth in the household, and last but not least, a cycle of poverty that gets perpetuated once a young person takes a mate (because you just normalized a very abnormal household structure).

But I believed in the messages because I had been so 'transformed' in the early days. I remained committed -- and attached -- because I thought such abuse was part of the process of further transformation from clueless fool to 'paragon of enlightened knowing'... and being emotionally bulletproof. In time, I was imitating my abusers there, channeling their way of disciplining those newer and less 'sophisticated' than me. I began to get drunk on my dominance and their submission. I lost sight of the supposed purpose -- which wasn't actually the case, anyway -- and became exploitable, deployable and just plain sadistic."
Having brought up and briefly described the organization of most cults on the multi-layered pyramid model elsewhere and how to recover from them, I received several requests to explain the (proposed; not yet empirically verified) model in greater detail by 2018 when the following was written. So here we go:
Having been in positions to observe the typical structure of several cults since the 1970s, I have seen a pretty much common, pyramid-shaped organization in every one of them I have encountered thus far, which include...
a) evangelical, fundamentalist, charismatic, pseudo-Christian and other ostensibly Abrahamic religious "churches,"
b) human potential developers,
c) large group awareness trainings,
d) multi-level marketing organizations (which made the model I describe here evident to me in the first place),

Now the secretβs out. Iβm going to dive a little deeper into how the hedgies are using psy-ops techniques, combined with AI, to execute strategies being used to control the current situation. Have we officially entered a social trap?
Okay before I go into this, I want you that this may rub some apes up the wrong way, this is completely speculation but wanted to get it out there and hear some thoughts. Iβll try my hardest not to jump to conclusions but will give my opinion and invite yours too. I will also welcome discussion if you have counter arguments as we are all here to learn together. Please be friendly and I'll take on board any comments mentioned.
Here is an outline of what I want to discuss:

War Tactics
So, to begin with, lets treat this like a murder case (war to murder?)... thatβs right, weβre going back in time so we can reflect on where we started, whatβs changed and where we are now.
So a lot of us joined late January via WSB. We saw a lot of fuckery and many war tactics being used such as: Deception(mods being paid), Distraction(shilling other stocks), Surprise(Stop loss hunting), Infiltration (WSB>GME>SUPERSTONK!)... you get the picture.
War makes money. Fact. Psy-ops is used in war. Fact. Hedgies are at risk of loosing ALOT of money and revealing pandoras box of worms. They would do anything to make sure they can keep the lid sealed. Fact.
So with that out of the way, would I be some crazy conspiracy theorist to think that psy-ops is being used to diffuse the current situation? If you think not, then carry on reading...

Preface: I am no psychology specialist, I was checking the ticker the other day and noticed Marketwatch shilling a new βFOMO ETFβ... I randomly decided to input this into Google Trends, narrowed the search down to Chicago IL and violaβ¦ i was given the following related searches that have also been entered into Google in that area:
