Maybe next time, you could remember how the Fifth Fleet saved the Destiny Ascension and your councilor in the biggest example of "springing for air support" of the galaxy? Humanity's defining galactic act is springing for air support, what's yours? Conversations and pole dancers?
Maybe next time, your species could cooperate with everyone else instead of letting other planets get obliterated just to buy you some extra time (to do nothing, really), and then bitch & moan once it's your head on the chopping block because there's no one else there to do your dirty work like in every previous war?
Maybe next time a galactic war happens, your species could let go of its superiority complex for one second and stop jealously hiding intel & technology that could've prepared the entire galaxy for the Reapers?
Maybe next time when you say "that used to be an asari, how horrible" after fighting a Banshee, you could remember that we've been fighting huskified versions of other species all along (and you've shot many of them yourself) but you never had a problem with that or never asked Shepard or Garrus what it feels like to mow down former members of their species?
The rest of the galaxy is burning, everyone else is doing the best they can to unite and defend their nearly destroyed planets at whatever cost - and here we have a member of a species who has done nothing but hide behind everyone else and deliberately withhold crucial information for personal gain, telling Shepard flippantly that maybe his race should help sometimes.
Seriously?
This isn't specifically Liara's fault or what she says, but about her race. I really dislike how much ME3 puts the asari on a pedestal and presents the fall of Thessia as something uniquely tragic and terrible, as if the exact same hasn't already happened to Earth and Palaven. The asari being uncooperative and cowardly just makes it difficult to care about their planet's fall.
And then finding out they could've helped with the Crucible and perhaps even warned us about Reapers all along but chose not to because then they'd have to share their Prothean technology with everyone else, that just makes me feel like they completely earned their fate. Javik putting Liara in her place feels earned.
Imagine if the krogan were the ones who refused to help and just laughed at everyone who got invaded, and only started begging for help and talking about genophage cures once Tuchanka was under heavy assault and everyone els
