A list of puns related to "Adams Mine"
I was bummed out by life, and bored. My female friends all seemed to have watched RWBY on-and-off and weren't hurling. All I knew were the trailers I watched at like 11, 12 years old and that there was solid character design, some Monty Oum fight choreography, and hentai.
I'll wrap up my general thoughts in a nutshell. My biggest problem with RWBY occurred to me during Adam Taurus's fight with Yang and Blake.
"When other people left me, they left scars. But when you left me, all you did was leave me alone."
Holy shit. If that wasn't powerful I don't know what was. It makes me wanna go back and rewrite his whole storyarc with Blake. Maybe it's not all Adam's fault? Maybe Blake and Adam were runaway teenagers and were codependent.
It was a great line. But it gestured at something the story never elaborates on in true exploration, just gestures and tells you about in the second hand.
Fanfic/soapbox below.
Soapbox time. If you don't wanna hear my pretentious, annoying opinion feel free to skip. But here's how I rewrite it....
Adam Taurus isn't radicalized by telecommunication of radical ideas, like a lot of terrorists are today. He's radicalized when him and Blake and co, both kids, are evicted to a ghetto in Mantle. The flashpoint for this is a faunas insurgency to end the Apartheid. Doesn't work, insurgency sometimes fails.
Adam works shit jobs for shitty humans. He's always in fucking pain. The spine hurts. The bone hurts. But Blake's there. She's doing not much better, but they've got each other.
In fact, Blake's only getting by because she's doing low level intelligence on who she suspects to be an Atlas counterterrorist spy. Who suspects the kid after all?
It's the end of Adam's shift. The two sit on a rooftop over a shitty meat locker in Mantle. While Adam shudders in the frigid air, Blake leans against him and reassures him it'll be okay. Adam starts to break down, asks Blake how she can say that.
Dude, Adam's parents got put down in the crackdown by Atlas. The faunas used a hospital as a staging ground, then Colonel Ironwood dropped some bombs on it. It's just a shitty situation.
Blake confesses, she doesn't actually know. She confesses... During daytime she earns table scraps handling the hazardous transportation in a dust store. But in reality this is just a front so she can report on the general logistics of the Schnee corporation's anti-Faunas scabs and dust movements.
Adam says he wants in.
Blake hesitates, but Adam's earned

Not the lager, but the ale. The SA website lists it as still available, but every packie in CT and MA that I've called says it's been discontinued. Does anyone know if it is available still, and where? Or if not, are there any CT breweries that regularly produce something similar?
