A list of puns related to "Adachi, Tokyo"
Don't really see much snow in Tokyo anyway, especially this late in the year. Last I can recall was maybe 3 years ago in Aprilβ¦
I'm speaking of this : https://www.tripadvisor.fr/Attraction_Review-g1066440-d3700451-Reviews-Adachi_Park_of_Living_Things-Adachi_Tokyo_Tokyo_Prefecture_Kanto.html
While it's a bit hard to get to it (there's only one line (Tobu line) to go here from Tokyo center, and it's not included in JR pass, and then you have to walk 15 minutes), it is worth it.
Cons :
Pros :
In my last trip to Japan (April), I decided to check this park because I love insects and bugs in general. I was so pleasantly surprised that I had to make a post. My picture album is not showing everything so I'll describe a bit more (I added 3 pic from tripadvisor to mines so you can get a better idea of what that place is). http://imgur.com/a/NC9lm
There is a giant room filled with hundred of butterfly flying around. You can try to make them land on you, but you can't touch them on purpose. There is a room with some glass cages where you can see iconic japanese reptiles. They added some facilities for kids to see the reptiles from beneath/underwater. (Yeah, I'm still a kid inside so I went there and scared a lil japanese :( Sorry) There is a room full of cats you can play with. Every 30 min, there is an activity outside where kids cuddle with rabbits and feed poneys. In one place where you can see an ant queen, you can also fish some crustacean. There is even a greenhouse just for beetles. Sadly we didn't see one :(.
Everything in this park is made for kids to enjoy the show as much as adults. So if you have children interested in nature, I highly recommend going there
