Is this law of attraction?? I woke up with clear skin yesterday after years of acne, and recently I've been joking about having clear skin... (potential success story maybe?)
Ok I'm so confused and I researched a lot about this and after hours I found articles about "speaking things into existence" and many of them talked about law of attraction and that led to a spiral of me researching for hours and that's pretty much how my day went.
Anyways I'm pretty sure what I said in the title is law of attraction but I'm not sure so I wanna ask the people who have been doing this for a while.
I had fungal acne for 7 years and nothing ever worked. Recently (I have no idea why) I've been joking that I have clear skin. So backstory so y'all dont think I'm a lunatic my friends were talking about skin goals and how this girl who went to high school with us had the clearest skin ever and I was like "she has nothing on me. I totally have the clearest skin ever. I'm basically a clear skin legend, u hoes could neva" we all had acne so maybe that's why this joke wasn't a big deal so I kept making it over and over every time we met and it wasn't even that many times.
Anyways yesterday (12/3) when I woke up and I looked in the mirror I thought someone spiked my morning water cuz my skin looked clear. My parents were confused and so were my friends. I spent almost the entire day (typing this 12/4 at 1:47 am to give perspective on how long I've been trying to figure out what the hell going on) and the only theory is that I "spoke this into existence".

Wait also I remember I used to joke with my friends that I was a skinny legend and so skinny and I randomly dropped 20 pounds without doing any diet and exercise so maybe there is something to this idk too tired to think now I'll think and dwell tmr

I was checking out at the grocery store today and the bagger was holding my stuff over the shopping cart and asked: “sir, would you like to go out with the cart?”. To which I replied “oh, no thanks I’m actually married”. My poor son looked mortified. Dad joke status ACHIEVED.
My 10 year old came in with a piece of paper and said “Dad, I’ve got a joke for you.”
Then she ripped it in half and said, “Never mind, it’s tearable.”
I feel like I’ve succeeded as a dad.

My dad burst into my room and said, “Wanna hear a joke?”, and then proceeded to fart for a whole minute.

[Personal] Guys, my worst nightmare came true today. A complete stranger pointed out my acne in public and now I wish the ground could just swallow me up.
I’m so embarrassed. I literally have cold-sweat nightmares about this exact scenario. I even thought my skin was improving, I don’t have any active breakouts right now, everything I’m sporting this week is healing.
I was with my boyfriend at our local PX. The older woman at the register seemed to have a loose grasp of English, she didn’t understand us when we asked for no bag, she sorta confused laughed and gave us a bag anyway. But after we said “thank you, goodbye” she shouted after me, “hey!! What’s wrong with your face?” While pointing to her own cheeks and chin. I turned around to see her motioning to me and saying “your face, what happened to you??”
Y’all. I was completely mortified. I was frozen in place. Having a stranger point out my acne is something that literally keeps me up at night. I feel tears in my eyes and shake my head as she says “my daughter has the same- don’t put anything on it!” With a big smile.
I wanted the floor to swallow me up. I can’t believe it actually happened. I thought I was doing ok. Just this morning I looked and thought “this is the best my skin has looked in a month.” My boyfriend held my shoulders and marched me out, cracking jokes and trying to change the subject.
I know it’s a small thing, and barely counts as a setback, but damn if I don’t want to just drop dead right now.
Help a sis out, teach your grandmothers not to point out people’s acne.

Small penis jokes count as a body shaming and are harmful.
I am a female, but I still dislike how acceptable it is to make jokes about small penises or degrade other people by saying "they must be compensating" and what not. I think it's harmful and should be just as frowned upon as other types of body shaming.

[acne] how to tell the difference between purging and breaking out
Hi guys! This is my first post here and I’m not all that knowledgeable about skincare. I’m also on mobile, so bare with me!
While my skin has always been a problem and I’ve tried multiple things. I can never quite tell the difference between “purging” and breaking out. I think it causes me to quit products too soon. How do you tell the difference between “purging” and breaking out due to a new product? Do you just have to wait it out? Give it a few weeks?

I picked this up today and so far I'm loving it! I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. I'm also using differin. This stuff goes on thick, but absorbs in minutes and isn't greasy. Minimal white cast! Just wish it was larger.
