Between the history of the instrument, being Ace's first Les Paul, to its unique modifications - the doublecut shape (totally different from a genuine Gibson doublecut), the bound headstock, the contoured heel joint sculpted by Ace himself! - this one just takes the cake for me.
It's too bad he never played it onstage with KISS in this incarnation; imagine a three-pickup version?!
I read a while back that Gibson Custom Shop is gonna recreate his black Custom from the Dynasty/Unmasked era, but if you ask me, this would be a much cooler piece to replicate!
