Genuinely interested what the Mormons who enjoy Sherlock or classic literature opinions have been on A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthor Conan Doyle. The story has a pretty bleak and honestly horrifying depiction of early Mormonism. I don't know how accurate any of Doyle's source material was, but I can't imagine Mormons/The Mormon church being very pleased by this depiction. Were any of the exmormons here forbade from reading Doyle?

How accurate is it? It seems more accurate to the real history of Utah than TSCC would like to tell, and sounds more in line with what I've read outside of the church. Thoughts?
Have any of you read this Sherlock Holmes short story? I just read it on a business trip recently and was surprised by how big a part the early Mormon settlers of SLC, BY, and the Danites played in it. It's a great, short read, is surprisingly and satisfyingly accurate in its depiction of the SCC under B.Y., even though it's fiction, and I highly recommend it to any of you who haven't read it yet!
I personally broke into Shu Takumi's house and stole his copy of DGS so i could patch it but I can't put the cartridge into my PC to play on Citra how do i successfully work it???

I just wanted to make a post expressing my gratitude to all the really great people who worked on The Great Ace Attorney fan translation. I got an Android emulator earlier this week to play this game for the first time. Ace Attorney is my favorite game series of all time, and having the privilege to finally enjoy Dai Gyakuten Saiban for the first time has made this past weekend so much fun. Everyone at Scarlet Study clearly worked really hard and put a lot of thought into the translation so I just wanna say thanks to everyone involved. Just another example of why this fandom is great.
Obviously Iโm not implying they owe us any updates, or any translation for that matter.
But when the last major update in March claims that DGS2 is โgoing at a breakneck paceโ and โunless someone important gets hit by a bus, hopefully me or someone else will be writing up another one of these lame release posts soonโ itโs hard not to wonder.
Or have they moved to Discord for main updates? I looked at the one from the website but it seemed like mostly fan conversation.
Obvious endgame spoilers.
It's no secret Capitan Marvel was made to be hyped up for women empowerment. Although I'm sure Capitan Marvel is stronger than the two I listed here power doesn't mean much.
Black Widow, sacrificed herself for the Soul Stone, was one of the only people who was able to get through to the hulk, and although she is super powerful she is no pushover, she is a trained assassin after all.
Scarlet Witch, she suffered through the lost of two people she loved, and although she still isn't as strong as Capitan Marvel she still is strong, but since I said power doesn't mean much she powered through it and she showed to thanos that she can take the loss of someone she loved, the way she easily controlled thanos with her magic and her movement during the fight was amazing.
Okoye- She is a loyal gaurd, a protector and very skilled in combat, she is loyal and strong.
Shuri- Smarts that could possibly rival Tony Stark, and she has the resources to match.
Now what does Capitan Marvel have? She is unreliable, doesn't think much when battling, and seems so forced on us. Most/any of the girls do a better job than her. I personally think trying to appeal to different groups shouldn't be a thing in movies but if you were to do it, don't hype Capitan Marvel up as so strong, etc.
