I mean the Gambit logo, the fact that he asks us to go snag something for him from the cryptarch vaults, and the fact that we get this humongous junker ship which is ironic considering the effort we had to put in to get it. It all makes sense to me.
And that's why it's my favorite ship in the entire game. As shady as papa Drifter is I think he was genuine when he told us that in the last of the allegiance tapes because of how hell bent on surviving he is and how scared he is of what's coming.
