A list of puns related to "A Cappella Group"
Working on a mix for an a cappella group and I have some questions about how to handle the bass in the group. Here's some general session info:
As I'm going through the edits and beginning of the mix stage, I'm wondering if there's anyone out there with experience handling the bass voice to fill out the lows that the human voice just physically can't fill. I have Waves' RBass and was using that on the individual bass tracks at around 90 Hz with a -3dB-ish intensity. Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Hey Nashville friends!

If you or someone you know loves to sing, check out this new a cappella group called Asymmetric A Cappella. I'm having auditions for all voice parts, and I figured this would be a great place to let people know! No prior a cappella experience is necessary. If you want more information, or are unsure if it's a good fit for you, feel free to message me!
In college and currently part of leadership for a design team putting a rocket in orbit. Iβm also running for leadership in my a cappella group however I just found out the the design teams main Sunday meeting is at the same time as the a cappella groups Sunday meeting/rehearsal. Iβm good at and enjoy working with the design team but a cappella is more fun. Which do I do?
So last years MDs of our A Cappella group are moving on to bigger and brighter things and have made the mistake of allowing me to take over.
We are a decent sized group and definitely fall into the more 'casual' catagory but we still very much take pride in our sound
I dont have much experiance with this stuff so is there anything you think i ought to know?
I live in Manhattan and I'm really hoping to find a choir or a cappella group to join.
There are lots of listings in places like the Vocal Area Network site, but it's hard to filter those for what I'm looking for, so I'm hoping someone has a recommendation!
I'm in my 20s (male tenor) and would ideally like to be singing with others in their 20s and 30s--so looking for a group that skews younger.
I'm open to a broad range of music/ensemble types, but have enjoyed modern/pop a cappella the most (I was in a classic university a cappella group).
This item is something I can look into myself once I get recs, but basically I work a pretty demanding job, so it has to be on the more "lax" end--probably less than 10 performances per year (depending on scale of course), and one weekly rehearsal.
Please let me know if you're even roughly aware of any groups that could work for me.
Thanks in advance!
Hellooo!
I'm in a collegiate a cappella group in a university that has so many other a cappella groups, and we're starting to brainstorm innovative/creative ideas for fundraising.
Wanted to reach out and see if y'all know any efficient and fun ways that groups can raise $$!
Hey all!
My name is Peter and I'm the music director of the Crescendudes, one of the six UCF a cappella groups here on campus. We hold auditions every year in the Fall and our current ones are coming up soon on Saturday and then Monday through Thursday.
If you like to sing or have any music experience at all be it choir, band, orchestra, or something else, I would encourage you to sign up! We also need people who can do beatboxing/vocal percussion so sign up if you enjoy that as well. The audition consists of a range test and then a song that you like to sing that you think shows off your voice.
We also accept Valencia and Seminole State students in addition to UCF (and possibly Full Sail but I'd have to check). We have virtual auditions but I would encourage you to show up in person if you can as these slots are more limited.
Each group is slightly different in goals but in general, we perform for fun (around UCF usually) and for gigs and do different a cappella competitions.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks!
Iβve never really sung in front of anyone before except maybe my boyfriend. I never did music groups in high school. I just decided that since itβs my first year of college I wanted to try something new. It scared me so much but I did it. I donβt know if I got in yet but Iβm so proud of myself for just auditioning. I was so anxious about it and almost backed out.
I'm a 28 year old guy that was in an a cappella group in college and recently got the itch to sing again.
You don't have to like a cappella music (I'm not a huge fan myself). Only requirements are:
Think you can sing pretty well

If you're interested, reply to this post or send me a message. If I get at least a few responses we can all meet up.
Iβve been in a coed a cappella group at my university for about a year now, and Iβve loved it so far. When it came to solos though, the songs would either be too high or Iβd get super nervous going up and singing in front of everyone. A song came that was in my range, so I decided to practice and try out for it.
I usually get nervous and fidget or have a shaky voice when I audition, but this time I sang out well and felt good about it. I had a huge grin on my face when I came back in and they announced I had gotten the solo. This is a big deal for me not only because I have a solo now, but also because I managed to get past a lot of my unconscious tics and fears about auditioning
So random questions but... does El Paso have any A Capella groups? Would any of you ever be interested in being in one?
I know about Committed because they won The Sing Off a few years ago. They are the only group I am familiar with. I would love to find some others to listen to!
I was at a Straight No Chaser concert tonight. Theyβre a comedic group and had funny stories in between songs. One of them says βSo we have CDβs for sale in the lobby... we couldnβt think of a better pyramid scheme... actually, does anyone wanna buy some essential oils?β I couldnβt stop laughing. 10/10.
Looking for something in the SF Bay Area that is mostly people in their 20s/30s. Is there a website that aggregates groups? Most of what Iβve found is an older crowd. I just graduated college a few years ago and am looking for similar aged people to sing with.
