A list of puns related to "Victorian era cosmetics"
Hello, I'm in charge of teaching victorian novels but I have no clue which ones I'm going to choose. Can you guys come up with an easy reading booklist? English isn't my first language thought.
Edit 1: Many people are supporting me but..I must confess, I haven't read any of the books suggested and I have no clue how I'm gonna teach something I haven't read at all. I need some help.
Making a Steampunk RPG and while I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to go with, I'm curious which theme Reddit thinks sounds cooler or fits that steampunk/aetherpunk style better.
I like to play small countries since it kind of breeds a challenge.
Idk Iβm high and want to time travel lol. If you could time travel where would you go?
Dear u/etherealmermaid53,
I've enjoyed talking to you these past weeks! I am so grateful that I was matched with you.I don't know how the mods did it, but we were a perfect match. It was incredible how much we had in common. I immediately felt like I was talking with a friend. I absolutely adored talking to you these past couple of weeks. It was quite the highlight of my day to get to know you in our chats. I wanted to let you know I absolutely adored everything you included in the gift exchange. I've definitely enjoyed trying my gift out over the past few weeks. Gifting is my primary love language, and I felt so seen and adored to have such a tailored gift. Thank you so much! I hope we continue to talk in the future because it's been a blast talking with you. Wishing you all the best!
Here were the products she included in this wonderful haul.
Product List:
I really appreciated such an amazing skincare haul. I felt like I was opening the subscription box that was actually tailor-made for me. I'm quite passionate about Skincare. I love to experiment with formulas across mainstream and indie brands. I was so thrilled to see that you included some Colourpop items. As you might have guessed, Colourpop is my favorite mainstream makeup brand. I really loved the gloss, it smelled so good! Sometimes I just put it on, just to smell the vanilla. It was thoughtful to include some gourmand scented face items. I still havenβt had the chance to try the skincare, but Iβm definitely using the Matcha Face Milk when my moisturizer runs out.

... keep reading on reddit β‘A friend of mine and I are working on a novel that's set in Victorian England, and partly in Paris during the same era. We would both appreciate books dealing with how London and Paris looked like during the 1860s, but books written about society and ways of life would be great, too. Also, I was wondering if there is a book/film/anything out there introducing the British legal system back then, and how lawyers and prosecutors did their jobs, how a trial went down.
Thank you in advance!
I'm looking for games set in Victorian England or places like it with maybe a steampunk vibe. I like fantasy games and single player story games a lot. I'm not great at video games so if they're not too hard that would also be a plus. My favorite games are Oxenfree, Lost In Random, Fnaf Security Breach (yes ik it's buggy but i still had fun), Portal 2, and Marvel's Spider-Man (Although I haven't beaten it yet). I have a PS5, Switch, and XBOX One so it would have to be on one of those. Thank you!
A few weeks ago, I left YouTube running as I fell asleep. As I woke up, there was an advertisement playing for a video game, either PC or web based. It was set in a Victorian Era town/Manor and was similar to the Nancy Drew games I played as a kid. Graphics were 3d rendered, not incredibly detailed but similar to the PC Sherlock Holmes games. You were instructed to walk around the town and speak to the people (all dressed in period accurate clothing) to unravel the mystery. The advertisement was a female narrator I think, but that could be wrong. I remember very vividly that at the end they give a website name, I'm unsure if it was a download or browser, but the graphics lend to the former. I've been searching, I checked HERInteractive.com, thinking it was a new Nancy Drew, but all of the close to matching games are modern Era, not Victorian/historical. I've watched every night since then, hoping the advertisement comes up again, no such luck.
Thank you in advance! I don't remember the whole advertisement but I'll answer any questions I can!

Hey everyone, I am looking for a system/setting book that is best suited for telling investigative stories in old London, do you guys have any recommendations?
Thanks!
Our bid on an 1810 Federal style Cape was accepted this week. Some of the rooms looks wonderful and won't really need much updating. But after seeing some very adorable Colonial era New England homes, I wondered about Stencils as decoration. Here is an example of what I mean. I probably wouldn't do anything this in-depth, but I wouldn't mind some boarders on the top and maybe bottoms of our walls in a different style.
My question is if anyone has done this before in their own home? Any advice you can give me? I think this look is very cute.
