Reading through papers and textbooks on TKA to try and beef up my background - something that's come up frequently (unfortunately without explanation) related to knee wear:

in fixed-varus deformity, usually the medial tibial plateau is significantly eroded

in fixed-valgus deformity, usually the lateral femoral condyle is significantly eroded
In both cases, why aren't the tibia and femur both eroded? Is there a biomechanical explanation as to why valgus knees tend to erode the femur and varus knees tend to erode the tibia? Thank you!

I've been into lifting since a pretty decent amount of time and now I strength train under a really good coach. I have strength goals of deadlifting 3x my bodyweight and benching 2x my bodyweight. I do not feel any sort of discomfort in my deformed (right) arm in the form of pain in most if not all of my lifts but I do feel it MAY cause me to be sub optimal because of a slight restricted range of motion (which wasn't slight to begin with but physiotherapy helped)
I got into an accident where I fell off from the stairs in the past. I'm not exactly sure how long it has been but it was for sure before I was 14. So it's been quite long. This isn't a deformity I had by birth. My question is, what effect could a surgery potentially have on my lifting abilities in the future if it'll have any if in case I decide to get it treated? As far as what my strength coach has said, there shouldn't be a problem but it'd be really great if y'all say something on this too. Another question is, now that I've turned 18, is it the correct time to get the surgery done as I've heard most surgeries are safe to do once you turn 18.
I can do most if not all normal things in my day to day life and even certain things which not a lot of people can do (physical) despite the deformity. The main reason for getting it treated is to bring the shape of my deformed arm back to normal. Thanks.
I was recently diagnosed with Forefoot Varus deformity just wanted to know if any other veterans are dealing with it and how it is affecting you?My doctor says my flat feet are a structural problem. Wanted to know if you could get rated for it? Thinking back on my time in the army I had some signs of it but I didn’t continuously go on sick call for it
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
