They're characterized by having a love interest but being unable to confess or even be together with said person. They can get together with other people, but they can't ever get together with their first choice.

I'll leave this up for a day or two.
Nine year old me would never again have it so good. Can you believe I thought that this was 'normal' for television? Every day of the week my family would have at least one legendary top tier show to watch. Some nights, we had 'blocks' of 2-3 shows in a row. I long for that time.
Can you imagine watching Babylon 5 on one channel, then switching to Deep Space Nine, then getting sodas to hunker down for SeaQuest DSV? And the 'pop shows' like 3rd Rock From the Sun and Early Edition were STILL nominally science fiction! Beyond Reality reruns! Are You Afraid of the Dark late night on Snick! AHHHHHHHHH!
I can't remember the details anymore but I distinctly remember some insane Friday night lineup that went Sliders -> (space show) -> Stargate and I was like huh this TV thing is pretty good! What's this new show? DEXTER'S LAB? Love it! On Cartoon Network? Goku and friends go to Planet Namek! Seems normal for an anime, right? After all, every single other show is sci fi! And the last seasons of the Adventures of Pete & Pete and Tales from the Crypt...
I already posted this a while ago to /r/offmychest, but soon found out about this sub and think it's the more correct place for it. I'm actually a bit better now already, cried properly for the first time in years. But I'm still a bit unstable from all of this I think. I may need a really, really distant perspective on this from someone to snap out,
I tried to write this down twice, then got somewhere and accidentally went back a page (my PTT on Mumble is in mouse 4 and someone logged in). Maybe fourth time's the charm?
So, I'm in love with a girl. She's not in love with me. Probably. She won't say it out loud, because of course she won't, she knows I have feelings for her and likes me as a person, she doesn't want to break my heart. But that's kind of what I need and it's unfair to ask her to do it.
I'm always like this. Whenever I fall in love I just see no-one else romantically at all, and I can't let go until I'm sure there's definitely nothing there. Until then, I make up convoluted scenarios where "I'm too busy for anything like that" is not a polite "no". That I couldn't be with her, that there's no solution, only acceptance, is the most hopeless thing I can imagine, so I drag it on.
Last time I didn't snap out of it until the object of my attentions had started hating me for it and made me hate her for a while. We're friends now, although somewhat distant ones. I don't want that to happen this time. Logically I know that it's game over and I should get over her, but my feelings don't need an OK from my thoughts and won't obey a "back off" from them either.
What compounds the problem even further is that sometime during my last "cycle", I cried a whole fucking lot and got desensitized or something, and it doesn't happen anymore. It was a tiny but much needed release then, but I don't have that outlet now.
I'm completely functional and able to think even about these feelings I have logically most of the time, but sometimes it just takes me by surprise, when I'm doing something unrelated and something reminds me of something unbearably lovable she said or did or has or is, and I'm instantly fucked up, but now I can't cry anymore. I just feel like a vacuum in an eggshell and shut down and a lump in my throat physically hurts.
I don't even know what I'm hoping to achieve by posting this. I've vented this in various degrees of detail to clos
... keep reading on reddit β‘My friend was showing me the xfiles because I have never watched it, and during the first episode this coffin at a funeral slips and rolls down a hill and everyone chases after it.
Me "That funeral went downhill fast..." Her "...you're fucking joking right?"
Edit : Apparently not a funeral... exhuming a body. Wasn't paying attention but the sound of the coffin falling caught my attention.
I guess in anticipation of the new season on January 3, 2018 Fox has made them free to watch. US region locked. Two season 3 episodes are locked but the rest seem ok.

I may be late to the game as black spot apparently debuted in 2017, but I only just stumbled across it on Netflix. Itβs like X-Files, Twin Peaks, Fargo, and Monk all mashed up. Iβm only about five episodes in but Iβm really enjoying it. The mix of supernatural with plausible reality is really fun. My only complaint is the occasional fall back to βshaky camβ when they want to build tension. Thoughts? https://m.imdb.com/title/tt6519410/
Having bought the box set, this episode has impressed me the most so far (still not finished season 1 yet) I've noticed "ice" from season 1 get a lot of praise but Darkness Falls feels like one of those horror outings you could watch again and again. It feels like a horror movie in it's own right, to quote wiki "a stand-alone plot that is unconnected to the series' wider mythology."
It's remote setting (the woods) and "claustrophobia" are reminiscent of the slasher genre. It's almost like the evil dead revival, long before "Cabin in the Woods" Interestingly, like that film, Darkness Falls was also filmed in Vancouver. Brilliant story telling, use of location and suspense. I recommend this one to anyone curious to revisit the series.
It was the first episode of X Files I saw while it was on FOX and that shit gave me nightmares for at least a week.
I'm still disturbed by it when I do re watches on Hulu

The Aliens and Predators have started breeding, making a terrible new race of killers, The Praeliens.
Starting from the Antarctic once on earth they have begin to spread. They are spreading across the world in separate packs. They have one goal. Destroy Mankind and make The World one of their fucked up "space rest stops"

How can we identify someone if we don't have access to the only thing that can tell us who they are?
I was comparing profiles a few weeks ago and something hit me. Why do so many of them say "Not available" or "Unknown" in the DNA section? And I realized its because many of them passed away in a time where DNA was not even on LE's radar. In the 70s through the 90s, DNA technology was expensive, and most only thought to use it for identifying perpetrators rather than victims So what did they do? They buried them.
Not knowing that a DNA sample could one day give them their name back, they did the only thing that they knew to do: Bury them, through no fault of their own. They didn't know what technology could do one day, no one did. But now, we see what genetic testing can do, and without a sample, a family will remain out there not knowing where their loved one is.
We need to encourage law enforcement, medical examiners, and public officials to pursue securing samples for future testing, as eventually the information may be lost due to age.
I'm not quite certain where to go from here. I have heavily considered turning this into a non-profit advocacy group which will lobby to generate support for this cause, but who knows how far that will go with my limited resources. In the end though, I hope that you all find good usage out of this list. I poured several days of time into going over hundreds of profiles to find them. I wish you all the best.
