Thirty nine Articles Puns

Hello everyone,

After reading the thirty nine articles, I was surprised to find article 22 fiercely condemn the use of images as "repugnant to the Word of God."

My surprise was only heightened by the fact that I have previously read a few defenses of the use of images in worship by anglicans.

Is it the case that the 39 articles condemn the practice? If so, how do modern, Orthodox anglicans reconcile their current use of images with what the articles say? (I say Orthodox insofar as I am, respectfully, not looking for a "theologically liberal" Anglican response at the moment)

When I read the Thirty-Nine Articles, they seem fairly reformed to me. However, I have heard Anglo-Catholics claim that the Articles are actually more catholic than reformed. I was wondering if there was a book or site that I could search for that would lay out that interpretation. Everything I have found doing random Google searches will address a couple of the Articles, but never all of them. For example, one page went on about how XVII (Of Predestination and Election) allows for synergism, but skipped over X-XIII which sound pretty monergistic.

Simply put, what was article thirty-nine? I assume it's one of the Articles of War, but the only fair copy I've discovered ends at thirty-five.

Part thirty-nine: A gun totting knight in shining armour.
