I'm standing up a completely new network/domain for a local hackerspace, and am looking to set up some form of Domain Controller or User Identity Management so that they can easily add and remove users from certain applications.
They plan on hosting things like Nextcloud, Gitlab, Pritunl VPN, and some other web-services for their members in the future.
This is a completely new deployment, no previous infrastructure, and no need to support anything legacy.
I'm trying to decide between FreeIPA since all these services support LDAP and FreeIPA supports Kerberos too, but i've also been considering Samba4 as an AD Domain Controller, which also supports LDAP and Kerberos.
The main goal is to implement Single Sign-On for the users, and to delegate access to the web services based on a "Group" model so that new groups can be created as workshops come along, and to grant access based on membership and fees paid. (non-paying member = no access, but retain data for when they pay their dues again). This will also provide the ability to log-in on machines at the hackerspace as well, so from the user's perspective they just have "one account" to access machines and services on the hackerspace's network.
Any recommendations on which way you would lean for this project would be appreciated!

Hi there, I am new to creating a website for myself and the reason why I am here is because the previous website approach (to install a YOAST Seo plugin requires a business account which I cannot afford.
I was advised by my professor to go to use AWS to register a domain name and have my content hosted there (content would be a blog and a podcast). Having said that I am abit intimidated by the information presented on amazon's website. What is 53? What is lightsail? How do I install Wordpress in AWS.
