A list of puns related to "Stranded II"
I think it was made after 2,000 but I'm nor really sure. I just remember that the plot was that this American and Japanese soldier got stranded on this island, separately, and then as they are hiding from Japanese soldiers who are coming onto the island from naval vessels, they notice each other and decide to work together to survive.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Right, so I’m just gonna get right into it because this just happened today and I. AM. HOT ABOUT IT. (In other words, I’m very, VERY pissed off right now.) TL;DR at the bottom, because SPOILER: you might be here for a while, as I have quickly learned that I can’t do short. (Sorry, Jack.)
So, does anyone remember that story I posted back in the frosty abyss of winter 2020 about getting stranded at work (roll credits!) by probably the WORST cab company known to mankind? Yeah, well, it just happened AGAIN. And at this point, I’d likely have to be an octopus to count how many times it’s happened since my original story.
And, for those who have been living under a rock during this wonderful time of “The Cough Heard ‘round the World,” or if you just don’t care to read or listen to the whole diatribe again, let me bring you up to speed. Basically, the TL;DR is that the cab company I use to get around left me stuck at the store I work at for over four hours before my managers called the cops, who graciously took me home after waiting so long and having no other choice. Now, there’s two important things to note about this: 1. Normally, at the time, I had a regular driver who would pick me up but all of the ones I was using were off that night because it was the holidays, and 2. I’m disabled (specifically blind, and also bipolar), so I obviously couldn’t drive myself, otherwise that would never have happened at all.
Now, before I get too far into this, I know what some of you are thinking, and I remember what some of you said in the comments of the first thread. Firstly, to those who realized how insane and serious the situation was, and shared positive and encouraging comments/feedback about it, I sincerely thank you. And second, to those who said I was in the wrong for a multitude of reasons, let me remind you of this, and answer a few common questions: I have been using this company ever since I can remember; and, up until about two years ago or so, things were just fine. Then, they outsourced the dispatchers to the Philippines and… well, they still haven’t learned their left hand from their right and get things wrong about 90% of the time. I’ve even had one dispatcher straight up hang up on me once a few weeks back because he said I “gave him the wrong address (I literally gave him the one straight from Google) and they rejected my call when I tried to book the trip again a minute later.
A common question I also got asked was “Why weren’t you waiting outside

The complexes bind to each adenine forming sequential Watson–Crick Pd‐mediated base pairs.
Atomic‐level control over the position and growth of a single and continuous metal chain is an ambitious goal that often requires complex and costly processes. Herein, we demonstrate that 1Pd‐DNA molecules, comprising a continuous single chain of PdII ions, can be prepared by a simple self‐assembly reaction between the complex [Pd(Cheld)(CH3CN)] (1Pd_CH3CN) (Cheld=chelidamic acid) and single‐stranded DNA homopolymers (ss‐DNA) containing adenine (A) or 7‐deazaadenine (X) bases. The single PdII‐base pairs [1Pd(N1‐A)] and [1Pd(N1‐X)] were synthesized and characterized in solution and solid‐state (X‐ray diffraction) revealing an arrangement similar to that of natural Watson–Crick base pairs. Subsequently, 1Pd‐DNA hybrids were prepared, characterized, and their structures studied by small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) and ab‐initio calculations. The results indicate that the 1Pd‐DNA structures resemble that of double‐stranded DNA, with one strand being replaced by a supramolecular stack of continuous PdII complexes.

A method to fabricate heterotrimeric three-stranded coiled-coil peptide structures has now been developed using coordination around a Pb(ii) centre. The heterotrimeric structures require only three cysteines that bind to Pb(ii) to form a trigonal pyramidal structure, and the formation of an adjacent cavity in which water can hydrogen bond to the cysteine sulfur atoms.

Criticism is greatly appreciated.
As I walked away from the slowly burning wreckage I began arranging priorities in my head, I wasn't hungry or thirsty at the moment, but I knew I'd have to find some source of fresh water and something edible before long. Shelter was also at the top of my list, I didn't know what sort of weather this place might throw at me.
With this in mind I set out towards the lower elevation, hoping to find some sort of valley river or lake. Wandering through the woods was easy for the most part, the massive trees blotting out the sun left the forest floor relatively clear and I didn't have any compulsion to go in a straight line, so the larger obstacles were easily circled. I spotted several smaller bushes with small, pink berries on them as well as large purple fruits up in the lower branches of the trees well over my head.
I decided that I wasn't quite hungry enough to risk poisoning by alien berries just yet, and the fruits were too high up for me to get at, so I kept going.
Most animals I came across avoided me or ran away before I could get a good look at them, but some of them clung to the upper branches of the trees, idly watching me as I passed by as they munched slowly on gigantic leaves. They looked sort of like koalas, but disturbingly hairless and an extra pair of arms and legs, I decided that after getting shelter I'd see about scrumming together a spear or sling to see if I could knock one down. I felt considerably safer trying for alien meat rather than fruits and berries, meat was meat after all, right?
I'm not sure how long I walked for, the sun barely seemed to move through the sky from what I could glimpse through the canopy, but I was exhausted by the time I found a large pond (Or small lake, I really don't know the distinction). Throwing caution to the wind I drank deeply from the pond, it wasn't salty at least, but tasted a little stale.
Using some fallen branches from the massive trees as well as several of the gigantic leaves that littered the ground I made a crude lean-to shelter against one of the trees, frustratingly slowly with only one arm, and

I just finished writing the story I started in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/themartian/comments/3bsgfz/the_martian_ii_stranded_on_the_moon_after_the/
It's a little hard to read there so I'm reposting it here.

#Chapter 1
Log entry, lunar day 6:
Shit. I opened my beer outside, forgetting it would evaporate instantly. Having spent more time in vacuum or near-vacuum environments than any other person alive, you'd think I would have learned by now. But nope. How did I even plan on drinking it with my visor in the way? I feel pretty dumb right now. Fuck.
Also, Earth just got hit by an asteroid.
Log entry, lunar day 6 (part 2):
Turns out lunar days are really long, probably not the best method for keeping track of log entries. Oh well, I'm committed now.
Log entry, lunar day 6 (part 3):
OK, I think I got the beer problem figured out. I will poke a small hole in my visor above my mouth. But not directly above my mouth. The bottle needs to be at an angle as the beer pours out so that the air from my suit can back-fill the bottle smoothly.
The visor is about 10 cm from my mouth. Gravity on the moon is about is 1.6 m/s^2. If my calculations are correct, I need the hole in my visor to be about 55 degrees above the horizon.
Log entry, lunar day 6 (part 4):
My calculations weren't correct. Turns out pouring beer down a space suit does not make it very comfortable. Luckily, I had a brand new hole in my visor. All I had to do was remove the beer bottle and let the vacuum of space do its job. Then I sealed the breach with some resin and my suit restored itself to normal atmospheric pressure. Thanks NASA! Sure wish you guys weren't all dead, you would have loved to see this.
Log entry, lunar day 6 (part 5):
Fuck it, I'll drink my beer in the LM. The view isn't as good, but the atmosphere is wonderful. (buh dum tss)
Now, to figure out the slightly tougher problem of not dying. NASA sent me up here on a vacation that was supposed to last a few weeks. I had a special request that potatoes NOT be sent up with me. You may think I would be regretting that decision right about now, but honestly I'm not. Fuck potatoes.
My only real hope is getting to Hermes II to catch a ride back to Mars. The Ares VI crew is currently on Mars so I could (in theory) get to their base and have enough resources to live out the rest of my days. Also there are women on the crew and it

The woman had blonde curly hair and was half naked. George checked her breathing and found that she was alive. He covered her with his shirt and carried her to his shelter. As she slept, the island became quiet. She awoke in a fright. Her deep blue eyes pierced him to his core. She sat up and screamed baring her breasts which she quickly covered.
"Who are you? Where am I?"
"I'm George. I've been here for four months. Survived a ship wreck. What's your name? Your story?"
"I'm Wendy. My sailboat went down in a storm. My brother is dead, I'm pretty sure," she said teary eyed.
"I'm sorry. Are you hungry?"
"Famished."
George handed her bird meat, crab, and coconut water. She smelled it and ate slowly. A few bites in, she smiled at George. The island shook.
"What was that?" She asked.
"This is a special island."
"Like in Lost?"
"Sort of. It's been a great help. I think it's jealous though."
"Oh, you're crazy. Great."
"No, I'll show you."
George took her hand and led her to the beach where he wrote. She watched the words appear and turned to George with wry smile.
"How did you do that?"
"Try it."
Wendy wrote a question and watched as an answer appeared. She kept writing as George sat down and watched. A gentle breeze blew over him carrying the smell of salt with it. Then, he saw light on the horizon. He stood up and started waving. George turned and grabbed driftwood feeding the fire until the flames grew twenty feet into the air. Wendy watched unsure what to do.
The ship drifted closer to them until it turned. Lights flashed from the deck. George heard a whoosh and then dove out of the way as a tree crashed onto the fire. Only embers remained when George looked back. The ship disappeared into the night. As the breeze rolled over him, a chill ran down his spine when the wind whispered: "You will never leave here."

I played Stranded 2 long time ago and then started playing mod for it called “massive mod”. I am looking for it and I was hoping maybe someone still has it on hard somewhere. Mod was created by Builder 2.0. I am looking for lastest version if possible. Also I know that there is mod called Survivalist, I am not looking for that one (it is based of massive mod).
So if anyone who sees this please check if you got it, You will make make whole week if you do.
