A list of puns related to "Soul Searching (mixtape)"
Peace brothers!
So... as the title said pretty much I guess!
The story goes so far: I spent my early years of the '00 breakdancing daily with my friends. Those were the days of Gamblerz crew and the beginning of the air-flare era.
So: years have passed but the groove remained I'd say, and every damn spring (which is pretty incoming) here I go back to the old mixtapes we used back in the days.. and searching for more!
I already have the classic hip-hop songs ones and the ones with the new "electronic" mixtapes do not touch the hype-train of nostalgia of the groove we used... I'm searching for the classic souls/funk/jazz-fusion/rare grooves one. so:
What's the best mixtapes you got in there?
Here a couple of examples of my favorite tapes of the days that hits the target:

Waiting for your beats,
wishing you great moves!
Really curious if it "just works" or I need to fix somethings when eventually I get my hands on a deck. Thanks in advance!

(Bloomberg) -- Ark Investment Management is βgoing through soul-searchingβ as its growth-focused funds fall out of favor amid expectations of tighter Federal Reserve policy, said founder Cathie Wood.
The $17.8 billion ARK Innovation ETF has tumbled more than 20% this year, with several of its top holdings like electric-vehicle giant Tesla Inc. and video-streaming platform Roku Inc. down from their peaks. During the same period, the S&P 500 Index climbed about 24%.
βIβve never been in a market that is up -- has appreciated -- and our strategies are down,β Wood said in a Thursday interview with Bloomberg Television. βThat has never happened before.β
βWhen we go through a period like this, of course we are going through soul-searching, saying βare we missing something?ββ she said, adding that in response, Ark has doubled down on its research and modeling.
Wood noted that the companies she invests in are aggressively investing in the future. While those stocks may have high multiples now, Ark is assuming that those valuations are going to compress in the longer term.

Iβm curious about this - I see a lot of people soul searching in careers and Iβve also met many going back to school for security/money after pursuing a passion that didnβt pay as well as they liked. What about the opposite, people who got security first, and pursued their passions later? What were you doing, what are you doing now, and why did you make the change?
3rd year 58 apprentice. So hereβs the deal. My left foot is a size 11, and my right foot is a 10.5. Iβve worn the same boot in both sizes, and itβs not too bad, but not ideal. And buying two pairs of boots at a time just doesnβt make sense. Long long LONG shot hereβ¦ β¦but if there happens to be anybody out there in the same boat but a different lake, 10.5 left foot & 11 right footβ¦ AND wears a Thorogood TH814-4203.. PLEASE hit me up and letβs do the ole over-the-mail boot swap.
The influence board members have on what social issues in our community get funded , what is prioritized and how nonprofit should use funding is really getting to me these days. Most if not all these members come from a certain socio economic background and no clue how things actually work down in the trenches. Their own program officers admit to this from time to time! I wish foundations would look to change how they expect nonprofits to compete for funding and the type of reporting ( so redundant at times ) that is required. I have worked with so many generous and friendly foundations but the power and relationship dynamics wonβt change until these foundations change. For one, if nonprofits have a long standing relationship with a certain donor there should be point in which said donor relaxes the yearly grant applications and considers allowing said nonprofit to decide how to spend the money, even if it's on adding staff, or new computers. The head of the Ford foundation said it best β it is both arrogant and ignorant to believe that you can give money to an organization for your project, and not be concerned about the infrastructure that makes your project possibleβ. Are there others who feel the same?
When a person dies, in each of the nations that we've been to, there's at least one regional reaper/boundary-keeper that guides the departed to the afterlife: Venti (and wind in general) for Mondstadt, Hu Tao for Liyue, and the Boatman for Inazuma (who we met in Ruu's quest).
Genshin has also established that souls sometimes can't or won't move on, resulting in ghosts like Dusky Ming, and very rarely, they might even turn into evil spirits which would then require the assistance of exorcists like Chongyun.
Signora was executed in the Tenshukaku while full of vengeance and nowhere near her goal of "cleansing the sources of distortion" of Teyvat. If her soul needs to be picked up by the Boatman (assuming he will even do that) since there's no wind in the Tenshukaku and no one to organise a funeral for her, would this mean her soul is stuck in the throne room? Would she even move on? Will she perhaps even resist going to the afterlife to the point where she gains enough power from the ley lines to become an evil spirit?
Then she might get chased away or cleansed by Yae I guess.
Idk this was just something I found fun to think about.
Hi, my name is Yury, i am a media composer and after sometime thinking about this i decided to try to find people who maybe interested in working together on a small prototype in souls-like genre, that can be potentially used in a pitch for potential publishers and investors.
Right now i have 90% ready level which i am planning to finish by the end of this month. In this current state the prototype is in UE4 has dynamic dialogue system, player controller and combat system. It will be awesome to find blueprint programmer to work on it further and polish or change the systems for better experience. This is not an open-world-multiplayer-gta-6-elden-ring-killer And the scope of the game remains pretty small, in terms of rpg elements, separate levels, enemy variety, quests etc.
This project is more like a hobby, but if it will reach the stage of funding, every participant will be compensated for their time. I am more then happy to skill trade if this is an option and do something for your projects for free.
What can i offer this project? Mainly i am a media composer, you can check more about that here Also, i can do audio implementation, so i could make voice over for dialogue in this small prototype. Besides that i am using my skills in level design and lighting, which i am polishing in my free time.
Overall it will be pretty cool to find like-minded people to work on this prototype and turn it into full game.
Feel free to dm me here or on discord Yura Bronsky#8226 and i will share more details with you
So some context:
I had a contract for four months last year (which ended in December). Before this contract, I was unemployed for 18 months, actively looking for work and applying nearly everyday during that time.
About 6 weeks before this contract ends, I talk with my staffing agency to get the ball rolling on new positions for when my contract ends. I also start revising my resume and actively apply for positions I see on job boards, company websites, etc. This seems like a pretty reasonable and responsible time to start working on this process.
I get about six potential jobs lined up by mid-December. I'm feeling good - dare I say, ~confident~ that something will work out. But the holidays come up, which I realize means I won't hear back from most of my job leads until January.
The weeks go by and I hear nothing. I send emails and try to get in touch with each potential job.
All six job leads (by which, I mean that I was in the interview process and had at least one interview/assessment for each position) ended up in either a hard rejection or ghosting.
Now I have no more job leads and am now afraid of being sucked back into an 18-month-long unemployment vortex.
And the worst part is that when I try to be more aggressive and actively reach out to recruiters, hiring managers, etc. - I've only gotten ghosted or found dead ends, when I don't get outright ignored, of course.
Searching for jobs is just...so exhausting and soul-crushing. I was wrong to ever have a shred of confidence in thinking that I'd actually get another job after a contract ended. But going through this AGAIN after having been unemployed for 18 months through most of 2020 and 2021...it feels like reliving trauma everyday.

Hello friends of reddit, newbie here
I'm not used to making friends this way, usually just let it happen organically which is a 10/10 strategy when you don't leave your house and are not on social media :')
Anyways, I was struggling with picking people to dm/chat.. I'm already indecisive as is and it feels a bit silly to me to talk to someone based on a CV of common interests. It's the digital equivalent to the "tell us something about yourself" in a new class, a dreaded moment for many of us I think. Often the less someone wrote the more approachable it was because it's like an open book, though I still lacked the courage lol. Having said that I'm gonna write a whole bunch more now like a big ole hypocrite.
Something about myself, I'm from the Netherlands under the sea. A NEET by definition, not by choice. Max prestige ADD space cadet, with occasional moments of clarity. I play games like Total War, WoW, LoL some RTS/Survival stuff though I rarely play since I don't play alone, just weekends pretty much. I could use some recommendations.
What I like even more than that might be modding, whether it's a game or a human. Inefficiently programming a bit here and there or just thinking of ideas. I'd really like a job in game design some day, very much just a dream now. The VR technology of my brain is decades ahead.
Something else I'm really getting into is working out, very much against my nature as I've been a statue most of my life and not a greek one. I like it though, there's so much to learn and it's pretty cool modding the body I suppose.
I'm not really a small talker, I don't think I've ever heard someone claiming they are. The fuck is that to be proud of. I like science. Pretty much any field I think? I have a headache from all this brainpower. Just generally curious, talking a lot about nothing or nothing about a lot.
The rest is just a bit superficial interests, I like nature, movies, series, anime, music, turtles, podcasts insert whatever entertainment here if it's remotely good. A lot of times I'm just kinda content doing absolutely nothing with these strange white straps around my arms in an oddly bright room.
I just have a lot of time on my hands, and time is money friend. Yet to be seen. This is just some spooky paranormal activity because I'm an absolute ghost on the internet, a hermit one might say, maybe it reaches someone perhaps a potential brother or a sister. I don't really care as long as there is some resonance with personal
... keep reading on reddit β‘Thereβs an Amtrak station near me that takes cars along with passengers to Sanford, FL. Sanford is 30 mins to Orlando to give you an idea. I want to car camp, traveling, exploring and also to escape the cold weather here in Philly.
I have my Camry with me, removed the back seats and made a wooden bed.(have to get a 2β memory foam mattress)
How hard/easy it is going to be?
My concerns:
Please help me get the courage.
Greetings
I'll try to keep this short.
I'm a network engineer. I've done this for about 7 years, and before that I was an IT generalist for a number of years.
I've been fortunate to work with a lot of different technologies including Cisco Firepower, Palo alto, VPN, Route/Switch, Wireless, and others. I'm proficient in several areas, except probably programming. I can read, understand and edit scripts to make them work, but I can't sit down and write my own code. I just can't sit still long enough I guess. :)
I'm burned out already plain and simple. On any given day I may work with 2 or 3 different technologies, but I just don't find this stuff as interesting anymore. Before I became an Engineer I was extremely hungry to breakout of the "IT Guy" roles and I got a CCNA, labbed for hours, learned NP topics, route/switch etc. I could subnet in my sleep. I was motivated, and stayed that way for several years, but now I can't seem to find that motivation anymore.
What to do. I'd like to get a new cert and travel a new path within Networking or something similar but I just can't find that same drive I had before. I think a lot of it is not really understanding where my interests are now. Route/switch bores me to tears, but didn't used to. Have any of you experienced this numbness and what the hell did you do to move past it?
β
EDIT: I very much appreciate all the responses so far! This certainly garnered more attention than I thought it would, but I can see from some of the responses I'm not alone, and that makes me feel better. I have a lot more ideas now thanks to you all.
For one reason or another i always arrive back at this feeling that i can't shake. Frustration, outrage, not at any person or political affiliation but frustration at the modern day human experience as it is. I mean what a cluster you know. And you can easily say oh you are just being overly negative, go buy some more healing crystals and follow your horoscope, but i mean really just stop and take a good look around. Does this really look like the dawn of a new day?
Hi! Does anyone else here play Soul Searching on Switch? I'm interested in your tips and opinions! I'm like 45 minutes into the game and quite like it, but encountered a potential glitch* that doesn't let me get any further, so can't share much of my experience besides the fact that I'm really enjoying the relaxed approach and the insightful -yet slightly depressing- dialogue.
*Maybe spoiler alert:
>!When teleported into this faded-coloured island, my boat is nowhere to be found. I can buy a bigger boat, but then both of my boats are enclosed in the shopping square and I can board none. I have no way to leave the island except drowning my character to death.!<
