Chill-dren
Our little town doesnβt normally get too much snow as winter comes knocking itβs way over. A light dusting of white will frost the few neighborhoods we have, thereβs never enough to completely snuff out the patches of green that peaked out from under the thin blanket. The kids would barely have enough to throw a few snowballs around
So when the town woke up one morning to a proverbial downpour of snow, everyone started getting excited. The adults who would have work in the morning were perhaps not looking forward to drifting their cars through the snow, the kids however. My little brother had his face pressed against the window, pigly little nose all scrunched up watching the beads of white drifting down.
I wondered if other families were doing the same thing we were. Just all bundled up watching the static outside while pulling hot cocoa in through pursed lips. Iβll remember that night fondly, no words. Just a nice time spent together. By the time we all decided it was time for bed, except my little brother who had to be forced, the snow was still raging. I had heard of whatβs called a βWhite outβ but that was my first time seeing one in person. Iβve lived in this town for far too long.
Not quite Christmas but waking up had a similar sensation. Instead of presents under a tree though, I was excited to see what our little cozy town looked like with a heavy coating of playful white powder. I stayed in bed for a moment, trying to prepare myself for the loss of warmth my blankets provided. Still I was eventually able to exit the blankets and quickly prepare for the day ahead.
When I made my way downstairs I was surprised to see my little brother looking out the window. I had thought he would already be outside fully clad in his winter armor making the most out of our present. My parents were there too, they were all just looking out the large window in our living room, just like we had been the night before. βWhatβs going on?β I questioned them, I could feel a soft laugh caught in my throat.
βSnowmen!β My brother exclaimed with that enthusiasm that only an eight year old can muster. His face lit up when he turned to look at me. He ran to the door and started to throw on his coat. My parents revealed to me that they were waiting for me to come downstairs so I could watch my brother for them. Of course they were. Normally I was the type to roll my eyes but I honestly wanted to play outside too. Growing up in this town I had never seen snowfall like this so

Snowden
Who knew that watching the zombies outside our window after a snowstorm could actually be fun?
The first time I saw the creature was two days ago, on my way into work. It was early morning, around 6AM, and I was driving down the street when I saw the strangest-looking snowman I'd ever laid eyes on.
It was taller than an ordinary snowman, made of four large round boulders of ice instead of the usual three. And it had extra arms, as well. Six sticks came off from its thorax like giant insect legs. Three sticks on each side, crooked and knobby. Two more branches were protruding from its face, like warped, misshapen mandibles. It had a wicked grin with sharp teeth made of jagged, broken stones.
"Wow, what kinda creepy-ass latchkey kid builds a snowman like that," I asked myself aloud, picturing Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes and his demented snowman escapades. Only this was not funny - it was highly disturbing for some reason I couldnβt put my finger on.
The effect was terrifying, like a giant insectile snow-alien. A totem of ice, made for a malevolent frozen god. And worse yet, its gaze seemed to follow me as I drove past in the low light of the morning. Surely just my imagination, I told myself - tired eyes and not enough sleepβ¦
But still, I glanced in the mirror and saw its head was turned in my direction, when I had been certain it had been facing the other way before.
I shuddered involuntarily and continued driving, feeling like a dark cloud was following me for the rest of the day.
On the way home later, I was pleasantly surprised to see the snowman had been taken down. I realized I had been holding my breath as I turned onto the street I lived on, oddly afraid as I approached the house where the snow-creature had been constructed.
Maybe the kid's parents found the thing as creepy as I did, I thought to myself. Either way, I was glad to see it gone.
Continuing down the street to my house, I backed into my driveway, then looked up and froze when I saw the exact same snowman was now on my neighbourβs front lawn across the street, its head turned so it was looking straight at me. Its extra legs and arms appeared to be waving in the strong winds, making it look animated and alive.
I got out of the car, eyeing the snowman across the road suspiciously.
"Hey, Jordan," said a weasley voice to my left as I set my feet down on the slick driveway.
Caught off guard, I slipped on the black ice. After pinwheeling and sliding for a few scary moments, I recovered my balance by grabbing onto the hood of the car with both hands. Turni

The shulker sees them through an iron trapdoor over a wall. Pretty standard design; I've not seen it happen, but I've got to imagine shulker bullets are getting through?
Is anyone else seeing this?
Early 2000's CGI film that had two snowmen rolling down a large snowy hill that ends in a cliff. Just before they roll off the edge one of the snowmen says something like "wait this snow came from SPRING water", and they bounce across the cliff and make it to the other side. Also there were several dream sequences involving large neon colored clocks.
The animation and appearance could best be described as "Veggie-tales" like, but it wasn't that show.
Snowballs
Just had a Wraith farm hitting snowmen with me and let me escape in a snowman and I thought that was super cool, was not expecting anything other than tunneling and camping like with most events, so this was a pleasant surprise :D
