A list of puns related to "Sadak 2"
To me, the whole Sadak 2 fisaco is one of the craziest and most unbelievable stories within the lore of modern day Bollywood. An acclaimed era-defining filmmaker reclaims his directorial position to make a sequel to one of his most successful movies. He also happens to be the father of one of the most talented and promising actors of the current generation (my opinion), and he casts her. Added curiosity lent by the casting of Sanjay Dutt, reprising his original role from the first movie, and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Then... An unprecedented context emerges. The pandemic hits and theaters are shut across the world. Sadak 2 becomes a hot commodity for the OTT companies as platforms scramble to put out as many new movies as possible to claim the users they had not tapped into before the pandemic. Sadak 2 is predictably sold for a big amount to a leading global OTT brand.
And finally... Everything goes south. SSR's death and the controversy that followed sparks major national outrage against Bollywood elites. Alia is at the center of the discourse as videos and stories of her (and her famously nepotistic mentor) undermining Sushant's career float during this sensitive time. Dil Bechara and Sadak 2 are juxtaposed against each other to represent the opposing sides of the issue. Opportunistic figures are quick to gain public favor by opposing Sadak 2. Its trailer hits national record-breaking dislike numbers.
With the whole movie shrouded in negativity and resentment, there are is a very small vocal minority that seem interested to consume an review it unbiasedly. And guess what? It turns out to be one of the worst movies of the year. The story, screenplay, performances, direction, pretty much everything (except the music) is universally panned. It cements its legacy as one of the most hated and negatively received movies of its time.
Obviously, the timing of the SSR case had alot to do with the drama surrounding the movie. But the truth remains - it was a terrible movie regardless. How do you think this even happened? By all accounts, Mahesh Bhatt seems to be at least a logical enough person to know when he's involved in something bad. There are also many talented people in the cast who could have warned him along the way. Even if others would be too intimidated or unwilling to point it out to Bhatt, at least his two daughters (who have both been in the industry for a long time and done some great movies) could have sensed it. It just baffles me how such a te

But what is also interesting to see is that this noise somewhere started on a very legit issue, but it kind of got misguided because there is noise and everybody is talking. It's like how sometimes at a railway station you would see someone hitting somebody else and then a crowd would gather and begin hitting that person without having a clue and then ask why they did so. They had no clue why they hit that person. So, half of the people are among those who don't know everything. I can only speak for myself, it's a democracy, everybody has a right to say what they say,β said Kunal Kemmu
βI feel what is important is that there is a basic issue that needs to be addressed and fixed, which should not be forgotten in all the hatred that we're trying to show. But, at the same time, you also have to understand that people are agitated only by certain things, they're not agitated by everything. So, the problem is not with the entire industry. Having said that, it's slightly unfortunate and misdirected when one person (in this case, Alia Bhatt) is put under the spotlight and victimised for, honestly, not that person's fault, I think. But, this is the time when all of this is coming out, so, you have to face it,β added the Lootcase actor.
Highlighting how the conversation needs to continue and achieve something once theatres open and not merely be confined to the social-media space, Kunal elaborated, βThere are times when I feel that I could talk about my own personal frustrations and agendas and this is the scenario for it, but that is not going to achieve anything. We need a healthier marketplace, and right now it's important that the people who make this business run are finally interested in it, are talking about it, and I hope that is not social-media banter that's going on and it's actually a mindset, which we will only know when we return to theatres because on OTT, it's very easy to celebrate or put down a film, but we don't really know how the business works.β
βIt will not change my life professionally in a way because when theatres reopen, I'll still be judged by my last box office, which has to change. So, we will only know then. It's one thing to show hate to a person or film on social media. We will see if you'll buy those tickets or not, that'll happen then. So, when that happens, then we'll be able to comment on this environment that we're in,β

On top of this, shes one of the major targets of the ongoing bollywood boycotts because of her relation with Karan Johar AND Mahesh Bhatt. What direction do you see her career headed in?
Bollywood stars should be thanking corona virus otherwise if Laxmi bomb , Khaali peeli , sadak 2 , gunjan saxena etc would have flopped if they were released in theatres .. they got lucky , now they gonna pretend that the movies were a hit !!

It seems there is extreme anger against any movie coming out which has any star kids in them and are helmed by big production houses.
Earlier in August, the trailer to Jahnvi Kapoorβs The Kargil Girl was heavily criticised and people trended that the movie should be boycotted.
Now, Sadak 2βs trailer is bashed and trolled across social media, with an active campaign being carried out to make it the most disliked trailer on YouTube.

I'm gonna put this here, if you reading this with the mad mob mentality don't read further
The trailer seems above average, not great but quite decent
Sanjay Dutt seems to be in his best form and seems to have quite a big role
Alia Bhatt seems to be nice, doesn't seem to be one of her best performances at least from the trailer
Aditya Roy Kapoor doesn't seem to be much in the trailer but I do think he has a huge role in the movie which would come in as a surprise
The main Antagonist (I do not know his name) seems great! Not as scary as Maharani from the first installment but still pretty good.
Music seems to excite me, we definitely have a good if not decent album coming our way
The movie definitely has some road trip vibes to it and I guess that's what the first half would contain, while the second half will have the mystery and the over the top action
The trailer does seem interesting, and maybe worth a watch, it could be a good movie imo, but going to watch with an unbiased mind.
Although I have this feeling that this would go down as the WORST RATED Hindi film on IMDB. I see the herd mentality really hurting this movie.
But even if you rate it one star please let it be rated above deshdrohi please π
Edit: I personally don't think the movie needed a sequel but this seems more of a change to the original movie. A direct sequel with very different vibes
Earlier today, Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was summoned by the Mumbai Police in regards to Sushant Singh Rajput's death investigation. He was interrogated after the likes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Rhea Chakraborty, Mukesh Chhabra and Reshma Shetty among others. Reportedly, Mahesh Bhatt was questioned for a good three hours. Now, a report in India Today suggests that the Sadak director was asked about offering a film to the late actor, their meetings, the things they have discussed and a few other aspects.
The report states that Mahesh Bhatt, in his statement to the cops, stated that Sushant Singh Rajput was not offered any lead role in his upcoming film Sadak 2, contrary to all the speculations.
He further revealed how Sushant had expressed his interest in working with Bhatt and had reportedly also asked the filmmaker to sign him for any role in Sadak 2.
The filmmaker, as per reports, further asserted that Sadak 2 was always destined to be made with Sanjay Dutt in the lead role as it is a sequel to Sadak, which starred Dutt too.
As for their interactions, Mahesh Bhatt said how he had met the late actor only twice. Their first meeting was in the year 2018 when Sushant turned up to see him, while the other was one was recent, in the year 2020, when Sushant was allegedly keeping unwell.
Bhatt reportedly had gone to meet him at his Bandra apartment. The filmmaker them stated how during his meet-up with Sushant, they mainly discussed his YouTube channel, books penned by Mahesh Bhatt and other literary stuff. He added that the two never had any kind of professional or work-related discussion between them.

Ok, all of us went disliked the trailer. But how it is going to affect the revenue, the stars, the movie itself? What about the talk that since the trailer got enormous views too, will the Disney get monetized income from the trailer?
