A list of puns related to "Round trip engineering"
The CET course selection options in the cap round are TOO messed up.
wth are btech CS and data science, btech cs( data science) and just btech data science? -.-
same goes for :
cs AI and ML ,,, AI and DS,,, CS and CSE(AI),,,, CS and CSE(ML), and God knows what other PnC of words in the degree name is going on.
and also the Electronics and CS one, because they all know everyone from the extc side aswell is gonna end up in some "IT" job so why not just make this up...
I'm pretty sure its going to be the same group of teachers who'll just start teaching these new branches aswell, no actual AI and ML experts.

Strangely, the only part of my body that I was aware of being cold, and painfully so, were my fingers. I should get some heated gloves, but they're so bloody expensive. Heated grips perhaps, but I've got four bikes. I couldn't help thinking of all that lovely hot water pumping around the engine... now there's an idea
Posting on a throwaway since I don't want my current company to see this. So I have an interview with Naughty Dog that I'm pretty psyched for. In my previous two interviews I kind of fumbled through the low level C++ and optimization questions. While I came up with answers I wasn't very quick on them, and was pretty honest with the interviewers that I was making educated guesses on how they work. I won't share their general interview questions up until this point, but I would recommend anyone interviewing for them understand all the different parts of memory management on a decently deep level.
I did really well on both the general data structures/software engineering aspects, and math aspects (I'm a math major), so I guess they thought that was good enough to get to the final round. The final round is what sounds like a pretty grueling 3 hour interview. Has anyone been through this, and would be willing to share any tips for what I'm weak on (Or in general)? Resources/books would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Somehow through straight luck, I was able to secure a second round interview at SIG for their Software Development and Web Development co-op positions. I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me some pointers in what type of questions to expect, and if they are leetcode based or trivia based questions.
I would also appreciate a preview of what to expect in terms of how these interviews are conducted, using a whiteboard. etc.
I was lucky enough to make it to SIG's final round for the summer 2022 Software engineering internship. It's literally my only hope at this time lol.
Did anyone go through this round and is willing to give some orientation on what to prepare/expect. From what I understood it will be a sort of a mixture between behavioral and technical questions (2-3 hours long).
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Context: I'm an engineering student and I'm lucky enough to have a great job lined up. It's freed me up to get a little frisky with there corporate ppl!
Basically they wanted to call me before the final interview to give me information about the pay/benefits to see if I'd still be interested.
If you gotta check if I'd still be interested surely you know u r under paying me. π€ They ask about my competing offer so i give em the full deets cuz i wanna see them razzle/dazzle me.
I'm in a call with a senior manager that has been working there for about 25 years. She tells me more about the role on her team and mentions as it's in the manufacturing space i may be required to work β¨longerβ¨ hours even a β¨nightβ¨ shift or two. I'm thinking this (β¨no OTβ¨) comp better be killer.
She then goes on to tell me about HER benefits and how β¨one dayβ¨ i can work my way up to where she is. The value of the β¨LEARNINGβ¨ that I can do on that team. Eventually she tells me the pay and it's too low (like ~50k under my other offer). β°οΈ
She can hear my lack of fucks given on my end and tells me the bonus β¨COULDβ¨ be up to $10k! Which we all know won't happen. She asks what my thoughts are and I say "well if i get your benefits we could be talking lol." She then gives me the much smaller version of benefits the entry level vermin like me get and asks if it sounds good to me. Makes sure to remind me what i could get is i give them 25 years of my life.
I drop this bar on her head top: "Hey money isn't everything but at this point it's more than enough. Withdraw my application i hope you understand."
TLDR: i told stinky car company the bar above to cancel my final round interview.
I had a blast last time I posted here, so letβs do it again! Iβm a bored engineer here to help make your writing more realistic. Feel free to comment your imaginary designs, problems your characters need to engineer a way out of, requests for realistic ways things could fail or be destroyed, or any STEM questions you just want an explanation for! I donβt believe in βstupid questionsβ, so donβt be shy!!
Flying in from Toronto this will be my first time seeing the boys live.
Any suggestions of how to get the full Titan experience ? Appreciate it!
LFG !
My fiancΓ©e is going to be flying in to JFK with her K1 (fiancΓ©) visa to immigrate here in a couple of days.
We each recently spoke to the airline to make sure that we had all of our ducks in a row re: COVID vaccine documentation, etc.
But then they sprung on us that she will need a round-trip flight to board the flight/enter the country. This makes no sense to me, since she is entering on a K1 visa with intent to marry within 90 days and remain in the country.
Our immigration lawyer insists that she does not need a round-trip ticket and the airline representatives that we spoke to are misinformed. She worries that if my fiancΓ©e has a return trip, Immigration will question that, seeing as the purpose of a K1 is to stay in the US.
Not sure what to do here. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Update 1: She was able to check in and board with the one-way flight with no issues. All that's left is for her to get through Customs. Thank you to everyone who commented! Appreciate you guys :)
Update 2: She made it!!! No issues with immigration whatsoever. Thank you all again!
Hey everyone, is there anyone who has done the second technical interview for Bloomberg's London swe internship this year or last year and if so could you please maybe share a bit of tips and what they asked?
Anyone also done the final stage of Citadel and Facebook for this year or ever? Would be SO SO HELPFUL if you could maybe share more details. Thank you!!!
Interesting infrastructure projects, physics experiments, solar/wind/hydro, energy storage, industrial manufacturing tours, recycling technologies, all-season greenhouses, etc. We especially like those with unsolved mysteries, major failures, or abandoned projects and the stories behind them (like the Delta solar ruins in Utah, or the missile base in Green River).
Even a unique back yard or garage with mad scientist creations the neighbors love to hate.
Obviously either open to public access or available for scheduled visits. We're not in it for profit or internet points, it's just personal exploration.
Any ideas within a day trip from GJ?
Hello everyone, I am a electrical engineering graduate student in the final round interview with Microsoft. The position is an electrical engineer role but I will be interviewing with the silicon engineering group. Any ideas of how I should prepared well for this.
is there constant range anxiety? Is the 114 mile range much worse in the winter? Thank for any insight!
