It's like y'all just don't even pay attention to science or care anymore. More people have died in 2021 than the previous year and a half. This is not to mention that it's 850,000 DEATHS. Stop comparing it to the flu. Also all this misinformation about omicron being more "mild" neglects the science of it being mild COMPARED TO DELTA, not overall in general. Then people use preliminary data that has not even been reviewed or have enough data to be substantial. Y'all go to a university you should know better. Y'all also love to neglect that the United States is the United States and has consistently been worse and doing thing worse than the rest of the world despite our vaccines. Y'all anti online people sound so eerily close to anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists that I am losing my mind. The fact that some of you don't care that people are dying and filling up hospitals is honestly upsetting from someone who has many people who's gotten covid not just once at this point but twice and are dealing with the effects of it. This isn't targeted at people who are making valid criticisms of the university for not being more transparent or providing more resources or that sort of thing. This is specifically at those that want to push conspiracy levels of arguments such as "it's not as bad as the flu" to justify their bad takes. That argument btw has been used since literally the beginning of the pandemic and now 850,000 people are dead in the US. Let that sink in. Be more compassionate and understanding and stop insulting those that want to be careful and have been affected by covid.
Edit: also did y'all forget the original point of the shut down? Covid-19, that strain didn't affect younger people that much either and yet we still shut down, not because we would be affected, but to stop the spread of the virus to more susceptible people, like our families or older people or immune compromised. Omicron spreads like wild fire so once again it's not about you it's about the spread itself to other people. I feel this point has been lost for whatever reason and people forgot the entire point behind it and are using selfish takes about personal health rather than communal health.
I read an argument that, due to corporate lobbying, laws have been made that are stopping businesses from competing with larger corporations. Their idea here is that the market isn’t truly free due to these lobbyists, and that life would be significantly improved if the market was truly freed and businesses were plausibly able to compete with corporations. What are some leftist critiques of this view/argument?
I made a purchase through Dell Financial Services (DFS) with a promotion where I don't pay interest if I have it paid off in 18 months, and I'm already 10 months in. If I miss a payment or don't pay it off in the 18 I have to pay all of the interest that would have accrued from day 1. I've had it on autopay and with the amount I'm paying, it was set to pay off 3 months early.
I miscalculated the amount of money I needed in my Bills checking account for the pay period, autopay went to pull the money and it wasn't there. I didn't get notified via DFS, I just noticed the returned item fee on my checking account (the fee appears to be charged from my bank, not DFS). I checked my DFS account and it says it's paid, and my credit statement came today and it also says I'm current on my payments. I've already gone ahead and paid the amount that didn't come out, but I don't really know what to do from here. Do I try to get ahead of this and call DFS to see if I can rectify this? Or do I let this fly under the radar and hope for the best? I know admitting to a debt rarely works in one's favor, but I assume my bank is going to report it to them at some point and they're gonna adjust my statement.

I've been seeing a good bit of people give Frontiers flack for its environment setting and the scenery, going as far as to say that it doesn't belong in a Sonic game or that Sonic looks out of place.
These people obviously only played Sonic 1 - 3k or the meta era games
You can't say he doesn't belong because Sonic belongs everywhere. We've had this blue rodent travel from real world locations and medieval storybook settings to space arks and different worlds and you're going to say that he doesn't belong in a realistic looking Island with a mysterious flair to it? That is pure ignorance if I've ever seen it.
Sonic has a really cool ability to him, you can slap him on everything and you can say that he belongs there, it's literally why we have fan loved games like Adventure and the Sonic movies, he just works in any setting he's in.
Sonic does not feel out of place in this realistic looking island.
Also to everyone saying "where are the springs, speed pads, loops?"
What we got is an in-engine look of the world meaning entities like springs and speed pads and enemies are nowhere to be seen and they're showing just the landscapes and scenery of the game. We are most likely getting springs and such but as for loops we only saw one part of the open zone

I am very new to credit card and credit score. I didn't know what utilization is and how statement bal and utilization can affect my Credit Score. In recent update, my cred score got hit a lot. Now I need to pay off my statement balance of $1790 which is 97% of limit. Discover app says I can't pay statement bal, because my current balance is only $715 and it is lesser than stmt balance. Please help here because I dont want my credit score to be tanked. Thank you!

Like they said, changes to the progression system will take time. I understand that. In the interim, give us a daily free challenge swap or two. They don’t have to be permanent, they can be a use it or lose it thing for the day. If you’re not trying to force me in to buying them, prove it. Give them away.
(Yes, I know you get free ones from the battlepass. But I think a consistent daily free one would do a lot more to build goodwill and prove it’s not about forcing them.)
I just want to say that I am very pleased with your service. However, due to tax reporting obligations, it's difficult to identify the price of crypto in fiat on the interest statements. For example, if I received .001 Bitcoin in interest, I need to know the exact price of Bitcoin in USD at the time the interest was paid out. Would it be possible to add this feature at some point?
