Yesterday I was driving an electric Bolt scooter and the light was not working. Police officers stopped me and asked me whether I had a drink and that I looked like someone who smokes weed. They did some tests on the street and I passed all of them. Then they asked me to pee in a cup at a kebab place (I couldn't bc I peed right before leaving) and they took me to the police station, holding cell while being searched and all (while also being really authoritarian like being yelled at bc I had to stand like 30cm more to the left and some other tbh weird/grumpy/assi behaviour) and waited till a doctor came for a blood test. The doctor was kind of a butcher and took 3 huge tubes of blood and my arms are bruised like never before while taking blood. They then told me if I had more than 1 nanogram of THC in my blood I'd get a fine. 1 nanogram of weed is quite low since I am a daily smoker, so I'm almost sure I won't pass.
Does anyone know what: 1 the height of the fine might be? 2 what the legal implications are (criminal record or so)?
I don't have a regular driver's license only a moped one for the Netherlands (im from there), never had anything to do with police in Germany or NL and I live in Berlin.
Hello, me and my 3 friends what to rent a whole apartment in riga for 4 months (feb to may, for Erasmus) but i'm having a very difficult time finding one. I am the one looking so i searched all over facebook but to no luck. I found one but she wanted 700euro in administrative fee which sounds insane to me (is this normal?). I don't know where to look anymore any help is welcomed (our budget is 900euro a month, we want 3 bedroom apartment or 2 bedroom+living room). Thank you for reading this!
Whenever I went to Riga, I always used to treat myself to some Carolina Reaper level spicy hot wings at a place called Wing Point in Δgenskalns. Unfortunately, Wing Point shut down and now this silly tradition is in danger. r/Latvia, I need your help - where does one get some crazy spicy and tasty hot wings in Riga?
