A list of puns related to "Refund Sisters"
i (21f) had a car that i planned to scrap because of its many problems. a few weeks ago my sister (17f) began texting me and calling me AND my boyfriend multiple times a day begging me to sell it to her. i told her it wasnβt worth it. she was relentless, calling while i was working, out to dinner, and even at 6 in the morning. i finally caved and agreed to sell it to her.
when weβre arranging the sale, she asks if she can do multiple payments so she can afford her first insurance payment as well. i tell her she can pay me half now and half on her next paycheck. i give her the keys and she gives me half the money and we transfer ownership of the vehicle.
a week later she calls me to say the car wonβt start. the alternator went bad from lack of use (as it had been sitting untouched for months) and she would have to pay $60-$80 for a new one, asking if i can deduct that from the remaining cost. i agree that i would comp up to $80 for her, but let her know i canβt comp any higher than that. she says thatβs fine.
this morning she texts me saying the alternator costs $130 and since i told her that the car was functional it was my responsibility to get it fixed for her. my boyfriend sells car parts for a living so i told her to call him to see if she can find a cheaper one and someone reliable to install it for her. she tells me to do it for her. i tell her that itβs her car now and my boyfriend can help her. she had no problem contacting him to convince me to sell her the car, she should be fine asking him for help fixing it. she refuses and starts telling me i sold her the car on false pretenses. she demands i refund her money and take the car back. she also says she had no idea i planned on scrapping the car and she didnβt know it was this bad. she says i lied to her and begins to berate me and demands i refund her that night. i tell her i will not be refunding her.
i call my boyfriend to rant about the situation bc sheβs pissing me off. he says he can get her a new alternator for $40 and knows a mechanic who will install it for free.
i call her after work and go off on her about how disrespectful she was to me. i tell her about my boyfriends offer and tell her to call him for details, and say that if she apologizes to me then iβll even comp the cost of the alternator. she continues to berate me and demand i give her the money back anyway and threatening to harass me until i do. i refuse and tell her she has to pay me the remainder of what she owes m
... keep reading on reddit β‘My sister has been going through a very difficult time these past few months and family gave her a few thousand dollar to get in to housing. A few weeks ago, my sister says she received a call from someone claiming to be from her bank but who my sister says was actually a scammer. She said she had her banking app opened during the call, and said she observed the scammers take control of the app and transfer the money out of her account with Zelle while she was running in to the bank to put a lock on the account. My understanding is that the transfers were still occurring when she was in the bank and the teller assisting her observed them take place without my sister's involvement.
She filed a fraud claim with the bank and they denied it, stating they believe the charges were authorized, but they did not provide any more information.
My sister is not in a good state and my sister and mother are beside themselves.
Is there a way for her to continue to pursue this?
Location: USA
Update: She kept pursuing it with the bank and apparently, they have reconsidered and have returned some of the money so far. They originally tried to give her the run around and pin it on Zelle but the transactions were done from unauthorized access to her bank account so it was on the bank.
I mean I know it is oop and I could only find a 200 dollar one (which is out of my budget atm). If anyone could send me the link to one, or your search page, I would highly appreciate it. Maybe it's because I live in another country so I'm not able to find other listings online. But nevertheless, just send me the link if you find one. Tysm.
So Iβm (21f) sister is (25f). Me and my sister were going to go to this nice concert by the bay thing together and I gave her the money for tickets. And she was approximately (19ish weeks pregnant at the time) Yet she miscarried at 23 weeks and has gone no contact with anybody except her husband (26m). Yet due to this I wasnβt able to get my ticket so I wanted a refund, so I called her a few times and she didnβt answer. I asked other family members if they could call her and they all said I was being incredibly insensitive for my timing and that sheβs grieving and not thinking straight right now and that I should wait. At first I thought I was in the right because it was my money but Iβm starting to think that Iβm an asshole because Iβm asking her while sheβs grieving so AITA?
Instead of being a temporary group for a variety show, they should've continuedπ I loved that group so much!! Their song "don't touch me" is sooo good!
I know they're busy with their own personal career, especially hwasa being a soloist AND a group member. But i don't know they could've kept that group active and comeback every 2 yearsππ
I'm not OVERLY sad about it but i just find unfortunate you know?

I've been helping my sister form a budget to get out of debt and in doing so, she's been doing some mini self audits on all of her accounts.
As a result, she noticed there was a random person on her Sirius account and that she had been paying for their services since 2019. She did not authorize this person to be on the account, nor does she know anyone who has the make of car listed.
I suggested to her that she give them a call and ask who authorized to allow that person to be on her account and to ask for a 100% refund of the amount she has lost, which would be about $500ish (figuring at the very least, they'd give her account a credit). S
0he reached out to them today and they removed the random stranger, but he stated that corporate would need to give her a call back regarding the refund. The guy gave her an escalation number and that was it. Of course, she didn't receive a call back so she plans on calling tomorrow.
What would be the best way to ensure she gets her amount back, or do you think it wouldn't be possible?
So my sis [25] and i [23] had planned for a joint birthday earlier this year for our family we hadnt seen in a very long time for our birthday month in August. Due to the renewed restrictions we had to cancel the event as there would have been over 15 people and we didnt want to risk it.
My sister had put in a deposit for a hair and makeup artist. The artist is a home run business that lives further than 5km from our house.
As the event was canceled my sister asked the artist if she could move the date for the appointment in which she was told no. She could not get a refund either as she was told prior to putting in the deposit that it was non refundable and non transferable.
Is the artist entitled to the $45 deposit?

Iβm sure theyβre going to perform, and I guess this means Jimi Yoo is coming back at the end of the year for at least an episode. Surely theyβr want to film the BTS for this since Refund Sisters originated from the show!
As an advance Christmas gift, my sister(25) surprised me(13) with 2 hamsters. It already came with a box but it was clearly too small for 2 hamsters. I talked to her about getting a bigger cage and she agreed. She gave me a budget of 6 dollars so I went looking. Saw a cage that cost 9 dollars but it was the perfect size for my new pets. It was just a bare cage but it will do for a start as I was still saving up money (Iβm still a student). Purchased it and went home. Told my sister I paid the extra 3 dollars and asked if she could pay me back as I got it from my savings. She got angry and asked me why I went over the budget even threatened me that sheβll take the other hamster back. I told her how she should have thought about getting them a proper home first before buying me a hamster which I didnβt ask for in the first place.
Now sheβs ranting on social media how I donβt appreciate her and how I hurt have her feelings.
EDIT: My sister ONLY gifted me the hamsters and a box. That doesnβt include beddings, feeds, and a water bottle which is necessary for hamster care. I have to get from my own inventory of feeds, beddings, and purchase a water bottle for them. Again, I didnβt ask for these hamsters as I was already caring for one.
Backstory: We live in Virginia. My sister and her husband are going through a bad divorce. He left two weeks before the birth of their last kid. She has the house. He filed taxes jointly, and the federal return came to the house. She held it and they came to an agreement on how to spend it. It was only in a text so nothing binding. The check was around $6,000.
Issue: He took the check and cashed (or deposited) it. He signed the back of the check, but she did not. There is a second signature (that looks like scribble) on the back of the check that we assume he signed to make it appear as if she had signed it. He took the cash, but was telling her he hadnβt cashed it and was using it to try and get concessions from her. We got the returned check copy from the bank which is how we know that the check had the two signatures and that it was cashed.
It seems like that should be a crime. I know breaking the agreement is not, but the fake signature on the check seems like it should be fraud of some kind.
Any clue on what kind of crime (if any) that could be? If it is what would be the statute?
Happy to answer questions to clarify if needed.
This entire project is an amazing idea and we have Yoo Jae-Seok to thank for it.The fact that all profits from this song are going to be donated is admirable for all involved since this song is bound to be one of the most successfull this year.
Don't touch me is the first girl group song in history that surpassed 100 perfect all-kills(currently 125)
4 amazing women that are really popular and are known as inspirational to a lot of women in Korea collaborating together on a song that's about how confident they are is kinda brilliant.
A group of women where the members are in their 20s(Hwasa),30s(Jessi),40s(Lee Hyori) and 50s(Uhm Jung Hwa) that have a lot of things in common and watching them interact in a reality show was really interesting(not only to me but to a lot of Koreans since the show had really good ratings).
Their live performance of Don't touch me is a great example of what it means to have stage presence(i didn't even notice the backup dancers) and props to all of them for doing choreo and singing live(especially to Jessi bcs she stole the show).
So yeah a little post dedicated to rookie monsters of 2020.
