I'm up to S2:E11. I put "recovering" in quotes, since there's debate as to whether I'm actually trying to improve. I believe I am. I'm taking notes on each episode for my personal growth and healing. I'm posting them for fun, and I believe they can help others to recognize abuse. If posting hampers my recovery, then I will quit posting.
Opening: BJ scars Sarah Lynn with terrible life advice: "You gotta give the people what they want, even if it kills you..." A lifetime of receiving only conditional love will warp one's mind. It's also an example of emotional incest and is very damaging.
2:30: SL is now an 18-year-old, sex-symbol: "People like sex and since I'm sexy right now, they like me." She internalized BJ's message.
3:00: SL is 30. Sextina Aquafina: "She's old, and gross, and nobody want her no more, okay?"
5:40: BJ and Todd are at the furniture store. BJ thinks teenage girls are excited to see him, when they're actually excited to see SL and Andrew Garfield. They're the same girls from the pinata scene at the party...they were at BJ's house.
6:30: Andrew Garfield breaks up with SL. She eats pills, stabs herself, and takes a dump on the sofa. We clearly see that she's unstable, and BJ and Todd witness the whole thing.
7:20: BJ is telling Diane what happened: "We got to bond a little on the way to the hospital." Flashback shows he's not really concerned about SL. Diane: "...you can catch up some when she gets out of rehab." BJ: "People don't usually want to hang out with me after rehab. I'm really more of a before-rehab friend." BoJack is self-aware enough to realize that he's not a great influence, but not enough to fully understand why. The "bonding" line above -- he really believes that they shared a moment, and that he's a great person because he drove her to the hospital. By doing the bare minimum, he deserves all the praise.
7:40: SL shows up to BJ's house. She refused rehab and is not stable: "BoJack, all my life I've never been forced to confront my problems head on. No one has ever said 'no' to me, ever, so instead of confronting my problems head on, is it okay if I just hide out here for a little bit?" BJ: "I know what you need. You just need a strong, responsible adul

when sarah lynn throws a party at bojacks house everyone who comes is a lemur. is there a reason all her friends are lemurs? or is this just a joke i don’t understand lol
