A list of puns related to "Philtrum piercing"
My skin has never been terrible, but always been sensitive. Itβs been hard to find the right products to help but not be harsh. Now as a hairstylist who has been having to wear a mask for 8+ hours a day with barely any time to breathe has been HELL on my skin. Only where the masks touch my skin it became so dry, red, irritated and almost every time I would take it off after a few hours I would have at least one more white head.
So as the title says, I got my philtrum pierced and these days they suggest using Sterile Saline spray or wipes to clean almost all piercings. Since I started doing this my skin has completely cleared up! Itβs not nearly as dry, and where it was so sore and irritated before us now completely gone. Sure I still have a bump here or there, but wow. Iβm still shocked about it.
Now looking into it I see that it helps kill bacteria, and promote skin healing (which is now obvious because thy let use it to heal piercings! duh, lol). I just canβt believe I have finally found the one thing that has changed everything after trying to find something for so long.
I just wanted to post this to let other people dealing with βmaskneβ or skin issues in general, who are struggling to find a solution that this could possibly help them too! I for one had no idea. :)
Hey r/piercing!
I got my philtrum pierced about 4 months ago, and just now switched to a shorter bar from the initial piercing. I waited so long because I wanted to change it myself, as the piercer who did it made me incredibly uncomfortable and did not give me any information about aftercare, jewelry size, plus overall was incredibly rude to me, and I didn't want to go back to her to change it out.
Anyway, I finally changed out the jewelry yesterday, I put in an 8mm length 16g surgical steel post and it's been incredibly sore on the inside of my lip since a few hours afterward. Is this normal? I have lips that are a bit fuller than average, could the length of the jewelry just be too short for my anatomy?
Any advice is appreciated, I can't seem to find any info using Google-fu.
Edit: for some reason I can't reply to AutoMod.
Age: ~4 months
Jewelry: 8mm 16g flat back post, internally threaded surgical steel.
Aftercare: sea salt soaks 2x daily for the first 6 weeks, 1x daily for the remainder of the time I've had it.
what do you eat with a new philtrum piercing?
i got my philtrum done yesterday and I literally cannot for the life of me figure out safe foods to eat. so anyone with a philtrum piercing, what foods did you tend to go for when you first got it? Thank you for any advice!
What shops do you recommend? TIA
I am finally getting my philtrum pierced on Monday! Besides the usual piercing cleaning any tips or tricks? Already going ro an APP piercer and will be getting high quality jewelry, I have my sterile saline and non alcohol mouthwash ready. Any tips to help with swelling?? >!!< Thanks!
Iβve wanted this piercing for years and definitely think it would suit me, but I worry about having a scar on my face if I decide to take it out some day. Someone convince me to get it anyway lol.
