Just wanted to let that guy know that he sucks. Just kidding, but I would like to know why you think that it’s the worst when I would consider it to be one of the best on the album.

I need to make the red squiggly circle (left) and then exaggerate it (middle) until I've exaggerated it so much it nearly resembles the basic outline of the start-shaped thing on the left. I would prefer to make the red-stroked shape on the left then deform it, using some tool or other, into the biggest red-stroked shape, but any input as to the procedure is welcome. For the record, I have somewhat more-than-beginner skill at Illustrator, but forgive me if I overestimate myself!

So I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the pretty great British band Keane, but I’m going to explain why their third album, Perfect Symmetry, is possible one of the best albums thematically.
First off let’s start with the name, Perfect Symmetry. It’s all a lie. Nothing is perfect about this album (conceptually) and the first thing that points to that is not one song on this album is about something positive. Perfection implies happiness, because you can’t have perfection if you’re not happy.
Spiraling - is a pretty self explanatory song in name. It’s about spiraling out of control, not a fun thing.
The Lovers Are Losing - this song is about a failing relationship. Anger and sadness are making these people act out, and coming to the realization that they’re losing the fight for their relationship.
Better Than This - a song about being better than, well, this. A song about trying to achieve “perfect symmetry,” but not quite being there.
You Haven’t Told Me Anything - kind of relates back to The Lovers are Losing. A relationship being slowly ruined by a lack of communication and stubbornness.
Perfect Symmetry - the pinnacle title song. This song actually does discuss living a life of “perfect symmetry” but the broken aftermath it leaves you with because you give up so much trying to live that perfect life. Basically, the complete opposite of what the name implies, perfect symmetry isn’t so perfect in the end.
You Don’t See Me - this song is possibly the closest to being positive. People are full of life and love, but are too busy with their lives and needs and are too busy to “see” what’s in front of them. Possibly in the search of that “perfect symmetry”?
Again and Again - a song about someone lying and deceiving you repeatedly, and how you want to believe they’ll stop when they said they would but it never stops. How falling for these lies created a cycle that is hard to get out of, not a very ideal and ‘perfect’ situation to be in.
Playing Along - this song talks about an ideal situation that isn’t so ideal. The world is falling apart around you, but you choose to ignore it and act like everything’s perfectly fine. Trying to live naively as to not break your perfect image of the world that you’ve set as a past memory as the world crumbles.
Pretend That You’re Alone Now - The want to want to live a completely different way from your actual life is anything but perfect. You wouldn’t want to pretend that you’re alone, or that your possession
