A list of puns related to "Narai juku"
Im trying to figure out the best main hub to stay at and get to any 3 of those. They're quite remote and would like to save on transit time when possible. If it helps I'll be in Takayama, albeit with a full schedule.
Thanks!
Hello everyone! My wife and I are planning a trip to Japan for late May/early June 2022. This will be our first trip to Japan. We will be in the country for 15 nights/16 days, and planning to fly both in and out of Tokyo. We had looked at flying home from Osaka, but currently the airlines are saying we would have to fly to Tokyo first anyway. We like history, nature, food, craft beer/locally made alcohol, small towns, architecture, and generally getting off the beaten path.
Below you will find what we have planned, let me know your thoughts and any suggested changes. We would appreciate any feedback.
Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo mid afternoon, probably staying in Shinjuku, but also looking at some hotels closer to Tokyo Station. First day we Meiji Jingo, and Shibuya. Try and go to bed at an appropriate hour.
Day 2: Wake up and go to Senso-ji, also visit Yanaka Ginza, maybe the Tokyo Museum, but definitely the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Assuming we have hit evening, go to see the famous Godzilla head, and the Golden Gai.
Day 3: wake up and go to the Tsukiji outer market, then explore around the palace grounds, and Tokyo Station. Go and explore Akihabara, end the night maybe at Omoide Yokocho?
Day 4: take a train to Fujiyoshida, and visit Chureito Pagoda, and Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Asama Shrine. That night we will stay at an Onsen Ryoken, possibly Kaneyamaen Bessho yada (Bessho Sasa)
Day 5: in the morning rent a car to get off the beaten path a bit. We have driven internationally, but never on the left before. It makes us a little nervous, but trying to hit some of the next things listed by train turns into a lengthy ride. We drive up to Azumino and visit the Daio Wasabi farm, then travel to Takayama with a pit stop in Narai-juku. Stay the night in Takayama.
Day 6: visit the morning market, and find that cookie cup latte I keep seeing pictures of. Visit the Takayama Shลwa-kan Museum, and then tour the local sake breweries. Spend a second night in Takayama
Day 7: travel to Kyoto, with stops in Gujo Hachiman, and Samegai. Drop off car in Kyoto. We plan to stay in a traditional town house.
Day 8 and 9: donโt really have these totally planned out, Lots of things to see in Kyoto. We will be waking up early both days to see the bamboo forest one morning, and the Fushimi Inari Taisha the other morning. We will also be visiting Kyoto Brewing, spring valley brewery, and house of KI NO BI to try their popular gin.
Day 10: take the train down to Hiroshima, and then the

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Hi lovely people of JapanTravel,
this is my second time traveling to Japan. Last time you guys helped me out so much with all the post that have been here. This is the first time I am traveling alone for more than 2 weeks so I am much more excited than ever. I will promise to upload pictures and give a trip report when done.
The first time I went and saw: Hiroshima, Miyajima, Kobe, Himeji, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone and Tokyo. This time I want to not only revisit my favourite places but also see Kyushuu. I do pray that the virus will disappear by that time and we all can have a reassured and relaxed trip to Japan.
Now I am person who feel bored and alone if I don't have anyone to talk to while walking around for days. This is why I packed my Itinerary to the fullest so I can avoid those emotions and have a great time in Japan.
Itinerary: 24 days, probably from middle march to early april 2021. Will only take a big bag with me to avoid the hassle of having a suitcase. I also speak some japanese to communicate with people. But it's nothing outstanding.
Sorry for the long Itinerary. Also thanks in advance for all the advice and help. Special mention to gdore15 for helping me out. If you read this I really appreciated your advice. Thanks :)
Will book the Flight right away the coming week.
