I have been watching Nadiya's netflix show and decided to give this recipe a go. Not to brag but I bake all the time & everything always comes out great. Not this one. No matter how long I baked it (and I baked it way beyond the requiered 10-15 minutes) it stayed underbaked and didn't brown on top. The inside wasn't runny but just very dense & underbaked.
I followed the recipe to a T but while pouring out the batter I noticed my baking tin was too big. I had already poured it and don't own a smaller tin so just decided to leave it to that, thinking that it might just come out a little flatter. Can that be why it didn't bake? If so, what to do if something like that happens?
I'm quite puzzled why the top didn't brown, this can't have anything to do with the size of the tin. I watched the Netflix show again & noticed the recipe on bbc is a quarter of the amount Nadiya makes on the show. Are the proportions simply off? recipe
