A list of puns related to "Multi leaf spring"
08 SR5 Double Cab, 5.7 w/220k miles. Leaf springs are shot and I'm looking to replace them with something a little-more heavy-duty than the OEM spec part.
1st question - why is Toyota pricing 1 side Leaf spring at $1k ? (Other than being from the 'stealership')
2nd question - What's a good alternative brand? I'm looking for the least expensive, but good quality,Leaf springs out there.
I'm doing a brake job and flush on my 1997 Ford E-350, and I've done tons of brakes before so I know how to do the brake job but this van has one of the dumbest designs I've ever seen in terms of the way the bleeder screw is positioned. It is recessed into the back side of the backing plate which is normal, but this van has the backing plate up against the leaf spring and U-bolts with under an inch of clearance between them. I've tried combination wrenches and flare nut wrenches and can't reach in there to get enough of a bite of the screw to get it out. Surely someone has come up with a solution for this as I'm guessing F-350s probably have the same setup?
EDIT: I should add that my van is SRW.
