I recently discovered that I have a warrant out for me in a city to which I have never been. It's been out for a year and a half now and just learned of it. I had nothing to do with the allegations made by said warrant and I'm waiting for a call from the officer who sent it out. I have pay stubs from the date in question but I feel like those will basically be anecdotal in a courtroom setting. I know finger prints are one form of positive I.D. but I'm still freaking right the hell out about this. Any knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated.
As someone who has always had very vivid dreams, it came naturally to begin lucid dreaming. The better I've gotten at it, the more I realise that my "dream self" is not my real physical appearance. My "dream self" has always been consistent and hasn't changed over the years. It's extremely similar to reality but has a very distinct appearance, almost as if a sibling. It's gotten to the point that my reflection in reality surprises me because I expect to see my dream appearance instead. Does anyone else experience this?
Hi guys, Iβve seen a few cases of misidentification on this sub. If you are inexperienced and arenβt 100% certain, please refrain from attempting to help with an ID. Itβs dangerous and misleading for people new to foraging. If pictures are unclear, ask for clearer images to help with ID. At a quick glance all might seem fine in a pile of fungi, but there may well be imposters and youβd need to ID each mushroom in the photos posted by each user. I understand a lot of you want to help, but you can do so in other ways. I donβt want to come across as an a*sehole, Iβm just offering my advice. Cheers yall, happy hunting πβ¨π
The launch occurred at 7:19 EST (1219 UTC) and deployment of 53 satellites occurred 16 minutes later. Expect a few people to post videos of the string of pearls effect during the next few days. It does look cool, but these arenβt the UAPs we are looking for.
Bought a box of wild-foraged chanterelles from the grocery. Chopped them up, sauteed them in butter with some white wine and garlic. Ate two forkfuls and my mouth started tingling so I spat out what I could. Tongue went numb like I had burned it on hot coffee.
Woke up the next morning and had some mild gastric issues -- gas and (forgive me) loose stool. No cramping or diarrhea. Still freaked out enough to call Poison Control, and they have been monitoring me remotely, with instructions to go to the ER if symptoms escalate.
It's now been 48 hours and my tongue is still numbish and I still have low-grade gastric issues. Have any of you wild foragers encountered a situation like this? I am going to guess that my forage box contained a misidentified mushroom -- maybe a false chanterelle or jack o'lantern. How long with this persist? Should I push for greater medical involvement, such as a liver panel?

Two days ago I received a letter from Border Force dated on the 13th of September stating that they had seized a "Flick knife" from China. The knife I had ordered from China a while back is a knife with a flipper tab which is manually operated, not a flick knife. I didn't think too much of this as I know knives being misidentified by Border Force is pretty common as I collect pocket knives and have a collection of about 30.
About 20 minutes later I get a knock at the door and I see 3 police standing there asking to come in. I asked them what this was about, and they insisted that they come in to talk about it, so I let them in as I was extremely anxious (struggle with social anxiety). As soon as they stepped in they told me I was under arrest for attempting to buy an illegal weapon and that they would have to search my property. I let them know I had only just received a letter from Border Force today and had not yet read through it.
They sat me and my partner down (which they understood had nothing to do with it) in the living room to watch over us, and then asked what they can expect to find in the property. I right away let them know that I collect knives and directed them to where they can be found. All my knives are legal as far as I am aware, so I thought this was the best course of action. After looking at the knives briefly they asked me if I know these are illegal as they are "flick knives" (they hadn't even touched or opened them yet. I said that I don't think they are "flick knives" (I know this for a fact, as they are all manually operated) and I let them know that most of them were bought within the UK from UK retailers. They then proceeded to pick up a slip joint knife (Hinderer XM-Slippy) and open it and tell me that it locks, while unknowingly demonstrating that it closed without disengaging a lock, showing that he was wrong, he stood by his statement about the knife.
They continued to search around the property, randomly asking how much things cost and what my job is and if it pays well. They did also open a locking knife and then tell me that it's illegal to own because it locks, I tried to correct this and mentioned that I believe that only applies to what can be carried outside, he then assured me that it's the law for what can be owned too. Pro pitbull people always claim that most dogs in the shelters are misidentified so no one knows actually what a pitbul is. But don't shelters misidentify pitbull type dogs on purpose? Like instead of a pit mix they call them lab mix. Is that where the stats are coming from?
Another argument I keep hearing is that many dogs have a % of pitbull in them and you just can't visually tell. I'm wondering at what % does it become obvious they are pit mixes and if the % matters. Especially since it's pretty obvious when a dog does have pit in it. I doubt that if we looked at all pitbull looking dogs and DNA tested them it would turn out they don't have any pitbull DNA.
Wondering what you guys think and if there's any data out there about this. Thanks!

He immediately called me and started asking why to which i responded βwell i realised i donβt want anything serious with YOUβ, which made him go insane. Itβs been a week and heβs calling me everyday wanting to spend time with me, trying to make me want him apparently. This is an update regarding me going to see the guy again. So he has practically begged me into meeting him again to talk since I seem βto be confused about usβ. INTERESTING. I was contemplating whether itβs actually worth it to give any time of day but the inner asshole has successfully won so I went. I wonβt lie I had a plan of what iβll say in case he starts to lie and manipulate again but then it turned out even betterβ¦ long-story short, he started telling me how we still should see each other; how βcasualβ is a very ambiguous term and it doesnβt mean iβm not important to him but then i interrupted his bullshit and proceeded to THANK HIM. I said Iβm thankful that he,unlike me, found the strength to be honest about the fact that weβre clearly incompatible and shouldnβt waste each others time. I said I was afraid to tell him that all along because i didnβt want to hurt his feelings but iβm so glad he had the guts to bring it up so we can finally move on to see other people that we actually enjoy spending time with. I said I was very relieved the first time he said that despite being confused. His reaction was priceless, I might as well have splashed my coffee into his face, it was so sour. Best fucking lie for revenge of my life, it felt good.
He has now sent me a loooong text about how he feels everything was a huge miscommunication and that βweβ (lol) deserve another chance.
