In my opinion, the Marcel Bezençon Awards should be a part of the Interval Act because it would give a lot more value to these awards which has been going on since 2002. I found it ridiculous that such awards are barely promoted and just shown as an "extra backstage video" the day after the Final.
The M.B.A.s could also bring spotlight to other artists especially the songwriters thanks to the "Composer Award" because unlike Melodifestivalen, Destination Eurovision or even Festival da canção, the general public (viewers) have no clue on who are the songwriters or composers of participating songs so being able to give these awards live during the Interval Act is the best way of promoting and acknowledging the great work that these artists made.
I think it could be a win-win for everyone involved : artists, host broadcasters, EBU....
NB : The only thing that could prevent this might be the fear of giving away the winner of the contest or at least entries that might do well at the end. If we look at the winners of the three Marcel Bezençon Awards (Press, Artistic and Composer Awards), a lot of them either won or finished well.

Before getting started, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. Traveling has been a major part of my life for the past fifteen years. I have traveled to more than sixty countries and have lived in four, including the United States, Germany, Switzerland and South Korea. Over the past three years, I’ve traveled seven times around the world. To put in perspective, the past three years have brought me more than three quarters of the way from the Earth to the Moon!
My journey in the U.S. started nine years ago. I came from Germany as a medical intern to train in cardiology at Johns Hopkins, and eventually decided to stay and build my professional career here. Fast forward three years, I realized that clinical medicine was not my passion and it was time to branch out. The only thing I knew was that I wanted to change something, make people’s lives better, and have a larger impact than I could as a doctor seeing one patient at a time. Even though it took another few years to figure out how I would achieve this goal, I eventually came across entrepreneurship as the solution. Starting in 2012, I developed my ideas at the Harvard Innovation Lab, bootstrapped until I was ready to join full-time, left my six-figure job as a consultant, and threw myself into the most insane life experience ever.
Below you’ll find my progress as an entrepreneur over the past five years. I detail what each step looked like and, in addition, the pressing challenges that I needed to overcome at each stage. In speaking with hundreds of other entrepreneurs over the years, I found that these challenges are very common. - After Plaintiff adjusted Gonçalves’ back, he asked Plaintiff if she wanted a massage
and Plaintiff said “okay”. At the time, Plaintiff was wearing the clothes she intended to sleep in,
so she did not have a bra on. Before Gonçalves massaged her, Plaintiff went to the bathroom to
put a bra on. When Plaintiff returned from the bathroom, Plaintiff found the lights off, and
Gonçalves had candles lit. Gonçalves had brought oils from the kitchen and had placed a blanket
on the ground. Gonçalves began giving Plaintiff a massage. Gonçalves took advantage of the
massage to lift Plaintiff’s shirt and bra up. Gonçalves continued to massage Plaintiff, taking
advantage of the access he had to Plaintiff. Gonçalves began to pull her pants down and began to
sexually assault Plaintiff. Plaintiff tried to pull her pants back up. Rather than respect the fact that
Plaintiff clearly did not want Gonçalves to pull her pants down, Gonçalves responded by pushing
Plaintiff back down, telling her “no, you are fine.” With Plaintiff pinned on the floor, Gonçalves
sexually assaulted her by penetrating Plaintiff’s vagina with his penis. As a result of the ensuing
trauma caused by Gonçalves’s sexual assault, Plaintiff cannot recall whether Gonçalves ejaculated
inside of her or if he used a condom.
- While Gonçalves was well experienced in sexual matters and sexual abuse, Plaintiff
was a virgin, having never had sexual intercourse before. Given that, she was particularly
vulnerable to the sexual abuse perpetrated upon her. Gonçalves’ intentional abuse of Plaintiff was
exacerbated not only due to her lack of legal ability to give consent and by his ignoring her verbal
and physical resistance, but also because Plaintiff had to endure this violent violation in a void of
experiential context. While such a sexual violation is never acceptable, it causes even more
emotional and psychological damage along when perpetrated upon a young virgin.
