A list of puns related to "Lizard Lick Towing"
And I don't particularly want to know....
If you don't know, both shows are about repossession companies who fight people, like, constantly.
Round 1: Matt and Froy of Operation Repo start to reposes Ronnie car, but then Ronnie and Bobby try to stop them. Does the car get repossessed or not?
Round 2: Same as round 1, but it's Lizard Lick towing and Operation Repo trying to stop them.
Round 3: Both are put in identical towns and given a list of cars to repo. Who does it faster?
Round 4: Round 3, but both are in the same town. Who gets more of the cars?
Round 5: They're put in a field and told to fight. Who wins?
I travel a lot doing software consulting, and like take pictures of random weirdness on the road to entertain my wife and kids. And my dogs crap, but only if he has eaten a pink and green toy recently. I use my Evo 4G which is not exactly high end gear but gets the job done for capturing random stuff.
Yesterday I was traveling through North Carolina on business and had to stop for gas in the middle of nowhere. As is my luck, it was one of those freeway exits where the "blue" sign tells you there is gas at this exit, and you find out too late it is a mile or so off of the exit. My colleague got excited and pointed out "Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery" right by the gas station, and since I Reddit instead of watching reality TV he explained the concept of a couple blue collared meatheads who commit aggravated assault without consequence on TV. Just our luck a camera crew was filming. While he pumped gas I took a couple quick shots of the outside of the building with sign along with the camera crew and texted them home. No big deal.
Next thing I know this road hard and put away wet white trash chick appears, tells me I can't take pictures from a public street, and demands I delete the shots. I politely inform her that I am entitled to take pictures from public property, and will not delete anything. I also let her know I had already distributed the pictures so deleting would not matter. I am not much of a photog, but I take my 1st amendment rights seriously. She kept escalating and began threatening me and demanding the name of my employer, so I let her know I had an idea. I offered her the opportunity to suck a wet fart out of my ass in exchange for the pictures, but she declined. Then she threatened to get "Ronnie" the meathead from the show. I told her calling the police would be more appropriate. She stomped off and I drove off.
The whole situation blew me away. TruTV, and their owner Turner Broadcasting, make their money by leveraging their rights to record and distribute media, often without consent. To have their representative threaten and intimidate was pretty hypocritical. I realize part of the problem was that I had also witnessed the complete staging of a scene and requisite fight from their "reality" show, but was still well within my rights, particularly since my only goal was personal use to entertain my kids. I couldn't care less about their dumb ass show, and I doubt I am in their target demo. Their reaction is the only
... keep reading on reddit β‘I was in the Love's truckstop in West Memphis, AR when I decided to take my 30. Well, as soon as I was parked, I was approached by an older woman who told me some story or whatever and immediately asked for money. I don't carry cash and I told her as much. She wished me a good day and moved on.
Something like 40 minutes go by (I decided to make chili for lunch) and guess what... a girl walks up to my window asking for money. When I say I don't have any cash, she then asks if I want a "date" for this evening. I replied in the negative and she moved on as well. I quickly made my way out of there, but I was left like... damn... twice in one day? A new experience for me, made me think to ask a question.
How often do people ask ya for stuff? I ain't gunna judge because I've got no idea who these people are and how they live. I'm just not too keen on listening to these improbable sob stories or getting the clap. That said, I find it really annoying to be pestered when all I wanna do is eat or take a nap. Do you find this annoying as well or am I the asshole? This happens about once or twice a week for me. Do ya see them more often than that? Cheers.
Also, sorry about the title, but I couldn't possibly think of another way to say that. Lol
i was visiting my mother with my car, picking her up to go to a restaurant.
at her residence, i had trouble finding a parking spot, so i "parked" my car near an entryway. "parked" in quotes because i kept the car running and stayed behind the wheel, texting my mom to come out because i'm waiting for her, in case i have to move the car to let someone else pass.
while i was waiting for my mom, another resident pulled up in his car and went into the entryway. i had to move the car a bit to let him in. the dude exited his car and came to me, red faced.
"what do you think you're doing? you can't park here, that's illegal!"
"that's why the car is running and i'm sitting inside. i'm not parking."
"like fuck you are! i am calling the tow service and you better not move!" and then he went into his home.
so i complied. i was pissed, but i stayed. technically, i could've just left, driving carefully around him. he never wrote down my license plate and i did not violate any rules. but he said to not move, so i didn't.
when my mom came down, i explained the situation to her, and she agreed with me, that i have not broken any laws.
a few minutes later, the tow truck came. i stepped out, with a bit of a scowl on my face, ready to clear up the misunderstanding, but instead, the tower took the initiative with a smile:
"ah, i see what's going on. you got blocked in. lemme fix that for you", and he towed the other guy's car!
in the end, the angry dude had to pay to get his car back, aswell as pay for the towing, since he called the tow service, and i got a nice meal at a restaurant and a fun story to tell.
