What can you say after all that? The grand final draws to a close and I can honestly say I've loved watching every single match of this tournament.
On the 22nd of November, Valorant's YouTube channel dropped their music video for "Die For You ft. Grabbitz" and just 2 days later posted their preview of the Champions skin and from that moment, I knew I was invested in this. The music video is insane! The animations are beautiful and tells an incredible story in a very interpretive way and the song itself is an absolute tune. I love it. As for the skins, yeah, they were expensive but its a F2P game and it's always nice to support content creators, especially when the content looks like the Karambit Knife and Vandal. Also to help out the tournament winnings for the participants to show appreciation of their talents.
The stage set up was pretty clean, it looked like an intense environment where you can sense something big is taking place. The multimedia screen on the floor that usually shows a pretty pattern which is used for maps and stuff was awesome. The lighting and special effects were impressively beautiful. Didn't get fed up of seeing it at all!
The commentary and analysis team are not just informative and entertaining, they have some serious chemistry. They're witty, funny, smart and seldom make a mistake when they're throwing out 10 words a second keeping up with the action on screen.
The tournament matches have been absolutely crazy! The controversial match between Acend and Keyd Stars followed by the even crazier rematch of round 3 where Keyd Stars gave it their all and came pretty close to winning even with their disadvantage. X10 Crit overcoming all the odds and making it so deep into the competition as huge underdogs. Kru taking out the potential favourites Sentinels in an excruciatingly close game. THAT Gambit vs Kru semi's! There's just so many matches to name that were so unique and incredible! All of the players and coaches and staff on the teams who participated in the competition can leave with their heads held high because they truly outplayed everyone's expectations.
Then, today, to kick off the Grand Final with live music by PVRIS and Rezz followed by Grabbitz doing a remix of the "Die For You" (which is an absolute tune by the way) but not just that, a remix featuring the collaborator of the Spectrum Skins, Zedd. That got us all so hyped for the grand final! The stage they performed on looks crazy good too! Also, the easter egg

I thought Lethal wasn’t so bad and actually pretty easy… then I reached the first boss (avoiding spoilers for new players). This boss has killed me at least 40 times in about 10 minutes now. To you all trucking through this game I tip my hat to you… because Jesus H. Christ

I don’t post here often but wanted to publicly thank the teachers (who, you know, are people too - many with families to stress about themselves!) doing their best to make the best of this shit sandwich.
My grade 3 and 1 kids both got so much info in the last 24 hours and were so so well prepared for today.
I know I’m lucky to work from home, however am myself (and my spouse) in about 6 hours of video meetings per day with coworkers, and the teachers in both grades have been so great with providing flexibility for getting tasks done when frankly we will struggle to help in any meaningful way during business hours. They’re all very accommodating to get things done at our kids own pace based upon family situation.
Anyways - thank you teachers! This has been a total shit show but know we all appreciate what you’re doing!!

We all know that roses are red and violets are blue and poetry is pretty damn underrated in the fanfic culture. So I thought to offer an occasion to every Dickinson, Poe and Whitman among us to show off their beautiful works.
DA RULES:
-AO3 only (sorry but I'm not on FFN or Wattpad)
-Poems and songs only (poetry = "literature that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound, and rhythm" source). Every style is permitted. Could be a standalone fic or the poem could be incorporated in a prose fic/chapter but the focus must be on the poem. Please, specify the length, the rating, the fandom, a bit of context (optional) and eventual warnings (mandatory) when you submit your fic.
-max of 2 submissions per person + 1 rec, and max 2k words each. This is to allow everyone to have some spotlight time
-if you submit your work, please try to kudos/review at least 1 or 2 other works, in the spirit of the exchange
-I'll try to kudos as much as possible and review the first 10-15 works in order of posting at least. My wish is to ideally get to everyone, but this could take several days. If you want to turn the favor at least with a kudos, you're more than welcome, but of course you're not obliged

I'm lucky enough to have a car that gets around pretty good in the snow, but I've had to avoid a lot of people walking in the roadway because the sidewalks were covered in snow and ice. I can't imagine how hard it is on people with mobility issues.
Driving to work this morning, I saw 1 sidewalk being cleared. That was at the Tapio Center (I think that's the name). Everywhere else was just getting more snow added to what was already there.
So in summary, SHOVEL AND CLEAR YOUR SIDEWALKS!!!!
