I had high hopes for Jason Gray-Stanford (Randall Disher in Monk)
I remember watching Monk and thought then, This Disher guy is gonna get his own show after Monk!
IMO he was the second most interesting and compelling character after Adrian Monk, and he was probably the funniest regular cast member. His way of phrasing some lines or bringing physical humor to the show was a nice contrast to Monk's anxiety and the comedy of his apprehensions.
But Gray-Stanford didn't really get a starring role anywhere post-Monk, as far as I can tell. Some work in Republic of Doyle, Monday Mornings, X-Files and most recently The Boys. But is it just me, or did Monk fans also expect some bigger things from Gray-Stanford when the series ended?

Jason Gray-Stanford is up for a Monk Movie
Jason Gray-Stanford (Randy) is down to do a Monk movie if Peacock/NBC will let them, and according to him the rest of the cast would be up for it as well. I think he was pleasantly surprised by how much interest there was in the Monk In Quarantine special, so yay!
I would love to see a Monk two-hour movie and have more than a few ideas floating around in my head of what I would want. The perks of being a fanfic author, I guess. I'd for sure want the Core Four all together and a role for Sharona, both of which would require Randy and Sharona to move back to San Fran. Natalie and Sharona seemed to come to an understanding at the end of Mr. Monk and Sharona so I don't think the two of them together would be an issue. I'd want to see cameos from Julie or at least hear about what she is up to. Ditto Benjy and the Stottlemeyer boys. I hope Leland and T.K. are still together, but Natalie can send Steven Albright back to sea. Lol. Oh, and we need a mystery in there too. ;-)
