Would be intense as hell but if you can learn to be ok in it I imagine it would be incredible.
I’ve seen about isolation float tanks from Joe Rogan and thought I’d see if anyone on here has taken a high dose (700+mg) and gone into one for an hour and a half or whatever the duration is. I would think the sensory deprivation would make the experience intense but possibly too much to lay still for so long. Share your stories in any way high or sober about them!
Has anyone tried this? I’m curious to read about any mushroom tripping experiences whilst in an isolation tank. I wonder what sort of things come out of the self, when external sensory inputs are minimised.
Admittedly, I havent had the opportunity to experience an isolation tank yet, so it’s pretty theoretical for me.
Hi there, I noticed a white ball of fuzz on one of the fins of a pygmy cory in my tank. I have a 55g and there are 12 of them in there. So far, this is the only fish that has the fuzz. These pics are awful but it's the best I could do. It looks like a little poof of a cotton ball. Can anyone help me with what this is, and how to treat it? I currently have no way to isolate so if that is needed, can you please advise me on a super cheap way to get that up and running? I can run to my pet store tonight if need be. Thank you in advance.

Good combo or am I crazy?
For anyone with pain from bad posture, I have found floating helps A LOT. I went the other day and went from a pain level of 8ish out of 10 to about a 1 within an hour and a half floating. The reason isn't just the float experience, but bc I stretched the whole time. It's incredible, and unlike anything else I've ever experienced though, how you're able to stretch. Since you're floating in water, you experience weightlessness and are able to manipulate your body in ways that you really aren't able to otherwise. Additionally, it allows you to really hone in on where exactly your pain is bc it's sensory deprivation- you can't hear, see, or feel anything but your body, bc there's no sound, it's pitch black to where you can't tell a difference between if your eyes are open or closed, and you're suspended in body temperature salt water. It's overall incredible, to the point where if I could go multiple times a week, I think I could SIGNIFICANTLY improve my posture and pain due to it. I'm honestly looking into buying one of the cheaper tent like ones bc of how it's affected me. I'd highly recommend going to one of you're lucky enough to have one nearby.

looking for a few material suggestions to help isolate my fish tank against hot and cold temperatures.
Its a common 1000L Tank. Will be digged 1/3 into the earth leaving 2/3 exposed. Main goal is to smooth out water temperature during cold spring and fall nights and warm summer days.
Any ideas welcome!
I was finally able to go do a float in an isolation tank yesterday. (For anyone that doesn't know what it is, saltwater floating in a sensory deprivation tank.) I feel a hundred times better! I slept great, lost a pants size and have a flatter stomach, when it seemed nothing was helping before. They flush the tanks and sanitize everything in-between people, and only allow two appts in the building at a time.
I started out 2021 really doing all the things I'd been putting off, like going into the osteopath and getting my neck/spine back in order. I'd highly recommend it, if you've been looking for something to give you and hour of total peace, and feeling better in the end.
Hey guys! I bought three new hermies a couple of weeks ago. I’ve moved one hermie to the main tank recently because he seemed ready. Anyway, I used 100% eco earth in the isolation tank. I didn’t have any play sand to mix in. Well, the other two crabs have dug in and not come out. But I’m seeing mold in several spots on the surface of the substrate. What should I do? My heart says take action, but my brain says never dig up a [possibly] molting crab (let alone two). Help please 💙💙💙
