A list of puns related to "Interactive Terminology for Europe"
I contacted Computershare and they confirmed that is possible to direct register your shares even if youβre from EU. You canβt directly create an account, but if you transfer some shares theyβll create it for you!
I donβt know if itβs possible from other brokers too, but we can give it a try!
I decided to start with investing in stocks and ETFs. I know something, but not so much about investing. I only invest in crypto, for now, a few hundred euros. I started a few months ago. I am from Croatia, there is not available many trading platforms... we have Revolut, Etoro, Interactive Brokers and Trading212, as far as I know. I think that for beginners, Trading 212 is the easiest to understand. I can start with 1000 euros. Please give me advice, your story, or problems with Trading212...
I'm considering a move to another country and IB advised me that I'd have to open a new account with IB CE.
Hungary is known for it's unstable currency and it's shift to facism, so I wouldn't be surprised if investors would be disowned some day.
Did you discover anything that made you comfortable with the entity?
I want to deposit 20k on my account but because I live in Europe, transaction fees are huge.
Iβm experiencing some frustration using Interactive Brokers for more complex option spreads because of the terminiology and hope someone whoβs an expert at IB for options can help.
I canβt find a decent video on it in YouTube.
The accepted terminology isnβt whatβs practiced by IB and I wanted to check itβs not my own fault for misunderstanding as Iβm really new to using IB.
For credit spreads, e.g. Bull Put Spread, I should SELL to open.
Then I would BUY to close.
However IB doesnβt seem to follow this convention. Here is an example.
Example 1: FB Iron Condor
I have an FB iron condor that is currently looking bad and I want to close it.
3 x FB Oct 30 210/220 300/310 Iron Condor
When I sold to open, I set a limit order. That was reflected as a negative number in the order panel, and when that order got through, I received a credit. So far, no issues.
However now I want to close it, and select βCloseβ the radio button says βSellβ.
Meaning to close this trade I have to sell, which is counterintuitive.
Furthermore the range of bid to ask is -1.92 to -1.46, implying I would get a credit.
So Iβm scratching my head as to the value to input to βsellβ to close at minimum loss to me.
Logically the LOWER the number you buy something back for, the better for you.
By this logic, the lower number would be -1.92.
But if I choose this number -1.92, it shows I would have a debit of -576 [D]
If I choose the bigger number, -1.46, then my debit would be -438 [D] which would be better for me. But the β-β sign is confusing me as to what should really happen.
(If it helps, when I hover my mouse over the trade in my IB portfolio a βhelpfulβ mouseover pops up with the following message:
To buy 1 Iron Condor Means
Sell 1 FB Octβ30 300 Call
Buy 1 FB Octβ30 310 Call
Buy 1 FB Octβ30 210 Put
Sell 1 FB Octβ30 220 Put)
If anyone can tell me which end of the scale I should βsellβ my iron condor at Iβd be really grateful. Thank you all!
PS: I had a second example but that would make this post too long, and I hope if someone answers this post maybe it will also answer my queries about that one!
I'm new to the sub and play Crucible on XBox and PC quite often. I've been getting more and more serious about it and thought it would be a good idea to check out some subs where the skilled and experienced players congregate so that I could learn from them. Unfortunately, I've found the barrier to entry is kinda steep and I don't understand most of the terminology used in several posts. I've been a casual player since Year 1 in D1 and D2, but never really got involved in the community and I feel that having an easy-to-access space for information would really help noobs like me and help grow the community. Sorry if I seem kinda bitchy or as if I didn't try to learn first, just seemed like a good idea for this sub. What do you guys think?
admittedly i'm dumb but a lot of the terminology they use in this manga melds together

If you don't have a (CS) account yet, you don't need to mention any account number, you may just mention that you wish to Directly Register the shares with Computershare. Please note, you should have funds available in USD (fee is $5) in your account to cover the fees. That's all.
I want to start working on application development in C#. I am moderately skilled in C# but I have been only using Unity. So I am unsure where to start in Visual Studio's. I want to make interactive windows; where you can click buttons and use input fields. I am unsure what this is called and I am unsure what libraries to use.
What's it called when you attempt a major upgrade/change and things start rolling downhill and you realize, "crap, this is bad." You know. PSOD, BSOD, physical failures, you name it. You immediately change from upgrade mode to "shit, put the pieces back together and get this back up and running before the outage window ends." does this have an official name?
Also, how incredibly happy do you get when you successfully restore the backup, roll back your changes, boot from recovery, whatever, and things get working? You leave it alone and go to bed, right?
My family and I (20F) were eating pizza at the dinner table and were joking about me being emotionally stunted. For some context: I donβt really show my feelings about morbid topics such as death and as a result I kinda seem like a robot, where I donβt experience happiness or sadness/anger unless Iβm overwhelmed or overstimulated.
Anyway, my father brought up that I cried after my βIndian boyfriendβ broke up with me (he is Indigenous). I corrected him by saying that the word Indian used in such a context is racist since itβs not accurate. He and my mother defended him, saying that since the Europeans once thought that North America was India, then itβs the correct term for Indigenous people and that the correct terminology didnβt really change until a year ago.
My brother (12M), then jumped in and agreed with me saying that Native American or Indigenous are words that can be used but that the term βIndianβ is racist. My other brother then came upstairs and I told him that heβs just in time for the racist conversation (which I admit was said in a rude manner), and my mother loses it and says we are calling her racist when we didnβt. She tells me to look up the definition of racism, and that her using that word in that context isnβt racist since she grew up with that word being used all the time.
My brother defends me, saying what my brother and I already told them but she immediately shuts it down and says weβre calling her a racist and went upstairs crying. She sent a text βapologizingβ for what happened, and said that word was misused but was not used in a racist way and that she overreacted. I kinda felt bad because she was crying, but I do not feel bad about correcting them about that word.
So am I the asshole for not comforting my crying mother after I corrected her when she used a racist word?
Edit: I apologize for all the errors and grammar mistakes there is. I didnβt really proof read, since I am upset over what had happened.
Hello all! I am hoping to receive feedback/confirmation of a potential βlabelβ for myself. So the wife and I are ENM, and while I havenβt had many non-monogamous experiences, Iβd like to have a way to identify within the community. Allow me to preface, labels in my opinion are purely a way to give others an idea of where you are and how you view the world, not a prescriptive sentence to being.
What Iβve deduced: Iβm an ENM hierarchical poly type (allow for inaccurate labels here)
The dynamic I seek: A regular FWB type of thing,in a secondary format, where my wife is the woman I adore emotionally and physically, and anyone second to her would be purely physical. They would be welcome in a kitchen table format, but definitely would remain secondary to my wife with whom Iβve built a life and plan to see to the end.
I notice that "tactical" rigs, backbacks, even booniecaps all seem to have a standardized system for connecting pouches and shit. What do you call that and what do you call the faster types used? And how would it be described on the page for the item so that I could research compatible accessories? And wtf would I fasten to a boonie cap?
Cannot stress the importance of that very last part.
Thanks in advance!
I would be curious to know if anyone here has any thoughts on
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello everyone. After 10 years of development, as we approach the 11th annual of this marvelous and mesmerizing enterprise, times are ripe to have all the subscribers to this subreddit participate to the ultimate, definitive poll.
The burning question: Is Star Citizen a scam?
First and foremost, let's pay attention to the terminology, as voters should adhere to the meaning and contest of the word "scam" before casting their votes. According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, "Scam" refers to:
>An illegal plan for making money, especially one that involves tricking people
Therefore, the intent of this poll is to ascertain whether or not citizens believe, in reference to the aforementioned meaning of the word, that is the case for Star Citizen.
So without further ado, CITIZENS OF THE STARS, vote away!
Is Star Citizen an illegal plan for making money, especially one that involves tricking people?
Things to know:
Hello,
I think that the most important thing to have in common isn't media preferences or even personalities, but kind of lifestyle we strive for.
Here's what my ideal future lifestyle would look like:
-A house in the country side, away from traffic and in a place where one can see the stars at night. We'd grow our own veggies and try to be as independent as possible.
-A kind of a relationship in which we can share everything including our faults. We'd be proactive about getting to know each other on an increasingly deeper level, until we reach the very core of our beings.
-We'd strive to eat healthy, to exercise and to learn in order to keep our bodies and minds healthy.
-We'd be proactive about avoiding the common pitfalls of relationships. We'd have notes to remind us every day not to take each other for granted, to compliment and to profess our love frequently..
-We won't expect entertainment from each other or from tourist destinations, but rather from projects, from learning and from observing the world from a different perspective.
-We'd seek to better ourselves constantly through philosophy and self-help books. E.g. to be nicer and more considerate, to increase our willpower, to be less needy, to improve as conversationalists, to think more positively, to shift our desires towards the useful.
-We'd retain a certain amount of individuality, being fine with not involving each other in certain interests, hobbies, projects.
-We'd push each other always to do and be better.
All of the above goals may sound intimidating, but they are just goals. I'm nowhere near attaining them, and I would argue that no person can fully attain the goals above. I have a lot of ambitions to achieve and a lot of flaws to mitigate, just as most people do. I'm not looking for someone perfect, but a person whose goals roughly align with my goals, who is willing to tolerate my flaws in exchange for me tolerating their flaws.
Here's some descriptors of me:
I'm an introvert, preferring to have deeper connections and interactions with a select few people.
I think I'm very open-minded, willing to hear out anyone and seek out information that would disprove my opinions and stances.
I try to look at the world and situations objectively, to consider my actions from a third perspective and to align my opinions with the scientific truth.
I like to joke around and talk about simple topics, but I kind of require to talk about deep, meaningful and existential st

I recently got accepted in a Japanese company as a graphics designer for several banks in Japan.
I still have a few weeks to prepare before I officially start my work training so I wanted to ask my fellow Japanese learners. I'm going to be encountering a lot of finance and money related terms in my work and I wanted to know where I can look up common terminologies for topics about money, bank and finance. I want to look up more words and study for the meantime.
Arigatou!
I was sitting in a lobby and saw chips ahoy Steve. He had something in his hand and I asked myself, is that a burrito or a clicky clicky? Bc we all love chips ahoy Steve and yes, he can be a little toxic, but all on good humor.
What are some other terms that would confuse a newbie?
