What do you consider to be the lowpoint of your team's last five seasons? Could be anything - losing streaks, asinine management, coach firings, on ice incidents, scandal, running out of bobble heads on bobble head night...

How to approach daycare management about an incident?
First some background: My son's ("Frank") been at this daycare/preschool since he was 4 months old and on the whole they've been wonderful. It's a larger daycare, with different rooms for different age groups, a great curriculum that focuses on learning through play and social-emotional learning, and they've had a relatively stable staff for most of the time he's been there. (His teacher/carer when he was in the infant room is still there, four years later.) They've always been happy to work with us and our son through all the usual toddler/preschooler behaviors, they reach out to us every time he gets hurt, no matter how small, and they even worked with Frank when he was going through speech therapy, doing exercises with him in the classroom. I have a good relationship with the center managers. However, like many other daycares right now, they are struggling to get staff and they have high turnover. I get it - it's tough. I do try to learn all of the staff members names but as I only do pick-up three times a week, I'm not always up-to-date in that respect (my husband's work is closer, so it makes more sense for him to do pick and drop off most days). They did a reshuffle of children & classrooms a couple of months ago to group the older preschoolers together and they've had a couple of changes to teachers in that room (Frank's) already.
The incident: On late Wednesday afternoon (around 4:15) I got a call from one of the center managers to let me know about an incident she was just made aware of. She said that one of the teachers in my Frank's room was changing his shirt and noticed he had a really nasty, deep scratch on his chest. They asked Frank about it, about who did it, etc. as they did not notice him crying at all - and this scratch is one that would have made kids cry normally. They said he said he didn't know. At the time I kind of brushed it off, since I couldn't see the scratch. Frank loathes band aids and if he thinks his scratch warrants one sometimes he'll just grin and bare it, so I kind of put it down to that. I let my husband know there would be an incident report to review & sign at pick up. Kids will be kids, you know?
However, when he got home and I asked to see the scratch, I was disturbed. It was deep. It was swollen and red, and I couldn't see how he didn't cry when it happened. (If I can work out how to post the picture I took, I will.) It looked more like a fingernail gouge and one too big to be from another kid. I asked

[Heyman] MLB recently sent memo to teams laying out new steps to curb intentional hit-by-pitches. Umps will now confer to determine if they deem intent. Managers will be held more accountable for these incidents, too. Rule unrelated to Astros new concern, but they should welcome change.
