A list of puns related to "In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology"
Me: Why of course, son - and sometimes even khakis or chinos if the parents are more stylish.
[Made up by me on the spot in response to my son's question about their biology unit in science class].
Hi, a friend of mine had to organize a βthemeβweek for a Biology studentβs association. The name of the theme has to be a biology pun. Examples are: smells like green spirit, game of thorns, sofishticated or the great catsby.
These names were all used in the past and now she needs new names. Help me out, thanks in advance.
HeHe.
my biology teacher told this one in class today.
i was the only student that found it genuinely funny.
the class was silent, besides me. i was laughing. really hard.

So heβs mostly known as a psychologist, self help Guru and βphilosopherβ but he also did some interesting work in Marine Biology.
One of the papers he worked on was on how the nuclear tests in the Bikini Atol effected Predator genetics.
The results learned that the nuclear tests during the cold war disrupted shark breeding so much that species were splitting apart.
They called it the Post Modern Neo Shark Schism.
If your onion sang hip-hop, would that be a rapscallion?
I used to be an astronaut, but I got tired of eating out of satellite dishes. I wasn't allowed to eat the Milky Way, even though I had to look at it every day. The worst thing was, I never got to visit The Space Bar. Then, when I was visiting the dark side of the moon, I was bitten by a parasite. Now, you might think it's crazy, but the doctor who removed it called it a lunar-tick.
If "womb" is pronounced "woom" and "tomb" is pronounced "toom", shouldn't "bomb" be pronounced "boom"?
China recently tested a new steroid. It basically turns you into The Hulk. The side effect is it could turn you into a crazed zombie that tends to rip the upper extremities from people. People are saying that this could be the zombie apocalypse. In my opinion, lips have nothing to do with it. I call it ARMageddon. The only way to stay safe now is to not let anyone close enough to disarm you.
I recently was going to join the railroad union. I decided against it because it's complicated. If I received instruction on driving the locomotive, would they call it engineering, or training?
I got a sad story about a flower. I don't know who the heck she pissed off, but damn, now she's a Black-Eyed Susan.
I finally figured out what makes leaves angry. Fall. They get so mad they change color. Some are yellow. They're just afraid and run from their problems. The other ones usually just leave.
I went parachuting with my military buddies once. We landed on a department store. I told him I think we're at the wrong coordinates. He said: "Nope. We're right on Target"
I asked a psychologist if Native Americans have strong emotions. He said "Oh yeah, they're intense".
If a psychotic person thought something made sense, would that thought be psychological?
If Matt Damon were searching for a secondhand store, would he be Goodwill Hunting?
My friend is a Marksman for the military. One day, he went to the armory and asked for 3 snipers. They gave him a candy bar. It was a 3 Musketeers.
I want to be there if Dwayne Johnson ever uses a pizza stone. That way I can smell what "The Rock" is cookin'.
Christopher bought a lemon, and the car broke down. Now Christopher Walken.

... keep reading on reddit β‘To celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, the scientific community joined together for a party. As is common at such gatherings, the Biologists began to argue about what species was the most suited to its environment. Finally after much heated debate, a group of scientists pledged to spend the rest of the year exhaustively researching the Biological record to once and for all determine which creature was the ultimate example of adaptivity and proficiency ever to live.
Yesterday, the results were announced at the National Academy of Sciences. The creature identified as the most adaptive and proficient in Earth's history was a previously unknown animal from the Mesozoic era, a water dwelling insect that thrived for a hundred million years.
It was ... a FishAnt
A navy SEAL sniper was dispatched from a submarine on the coast of Africa with the mission of traveling inland to quietly take out a warlord. His only link to his superiors on the submarine was cellular messaging device. He arrived and had to lay in cover for days. A pride of lions eventually settled around him, making him very nervous. Circumstances then necessitated immediate action so the commander sent the SEAL messages ordering him to clear the area before the strike. Being in the midst of the pride the soldier couldn't move to check his phone. He then perished in the attack.
However, this is not the first person to miss the subtext because they couldn't read between the lions.

My youngest daughter had a developmental disability as a toddler. As a result, she was very withdrawn and functionally mute until the age of four. I made up a joke and taught it to her in an attempt to get her to open up a little. It worked.
Me: What does the dog say?
Her: Woof!
Me: What does the cat say?
Her: Meow!
Me: What does the cow say?
Her: Eat More Chikin!
Thanks, Chik-Fil-A, for helping to bring my baby girl out of her shell.

... keep reading on reddit β‘So a little backstory, my parents take the dog for a walk every night. My mom is in college (lol napoleon dynamite) and she takes a marine biology class.
So they were on one of those walks last night, and they were talking about ants. My mom's question was whether or not ants sleep. My dad replies saying, "Why are you asking me? You're the one in a biology class." To which she replied, "I'm in a marine biology class, I don't think there are any marine ants."
Without skipping a beat, my dad came up with the most incredible response...
"Why can't there be marine ants? We already have army ants."
So we have this cellular company called "XL" in indonesia, and my dad just couldnt resist. This is a conversation of my dad with his friend.
Dad: Hey what cell company are you with?
Friend: Oh, im using XL now, whatsup?
Dad: XL doesnt really fit you, you know.... you're a skinny guy

Last night, as I was getting ready to cook dinner, I received a mysterious phone call from a number I didn't recognize and I naturally let it go to voicemail. Surprisingly the mystery caller did leave a voice message and several minutes later I got this text. To eliminate all possibilities I proceeded to listen to the voicemail and ensure it was indeed someone important to me. It was both of my parents(they like to put me on speakerphone so they can talk to me simultaneously) informing me of my Dad's new cellular device.
Now, as far as i can tell, my Dad has never sent a text msg in his life. He's been retired for 10+ years and he loves to talk on the phone to friends and loved ones for hours. He has no reason to text. I also wouldn't put him into a general category when it comes to dad jokes. Meaning he might not have enjoyed this as much as I. So, after much deliberation I decided to welcome my Dad to the world of SMS the only way I felt was appropriate to the relationship we share.
Also, one of my favorite of his sayings is referring to my best friend as suave(Ss-wave) and debonair (De-boner.)
Oh and don't let your meatloaf.
My 9th grader brother at dinner: We're learning about evolution in my Biology class. Today I learned that 50% of human DNA is the same as bananas' DNA.
Dad: Now you know why I'm always going bananas!
My 9th grader brother: -stands up, pushes in chair, leaves table-
In my biology class not too long ago, we covered a mini unit on invasive species. One of my classmates was giving a presentation on an invasive monkey species, explaining how it is very aggressive in nature and has been known to attack people and other animals in small groups. After hearing this, I couldn't help but raise my hand and pose the question: "So you could say these monkeys use guerrilla warfare?". Almost the entire class groaned simultaneously. It was glorious.
So my sister is in grade 11, and on a car ride to her game she was asking myself and my parents some questions about her biology course. At one point she asked if we remembered what the two types of cells were, as she could only remember one, the eukaryotes.
Immediately after saying this, my mom chimed in with "if one is eukaryotes, then the other must be eu-dine-in's". Everybody groaned, but I'm fairly certain my dad was very proud in that moment.
I'm 17 and live with my parents, and my sister, niece, and nephew (who is 6) were over for dinner tonight, and we were talking about grades.
Me: I think I have a B in AP Biology.
Nephew: I got a B once.
Dad: Did it sting you?
Us: -_-
Other person: "So, what are you studying in school"
Me: "Biology"
Other person: "What do you plan to do with that?"
My dad: "She's going to become a vet so she can take care of me when I get old"
My dad was looking for a pair of pants and asked me:
"Do you have my jeans?"
I replied with:
"Yes unfortunately, but the biological ones."
He just walked away with the look of disappointment in his eyes...
So I've only known my biological father for a few years. We hardly see each other except on holidays because of his work schedule, my work and college schedule, and distance. So today, he decided to visit me all afternoon and take me out to dinner. Before we left, he sat in the living room and we chatted.
Dad: "Well, young'in, I think I'm ready to eat."
Me: "Yeah, me too, I've been hungry for a while."
Dad: "Oh, really? I hadn't realized you changed your name."
Groan
I'm not biologically a father, but whatevs. Someone in my dorm had to borrow a mattress. I knew that another guy had one that he didn't need, so I told him to put it outside his room. When he returned a long time afterward to see that the mattress still was there, I told him "he wasn't sure whether to pick it up, because he's going to sleep on it".
