Piecing together what happened from all the different reports and velofocus pics: a breakaway (with Hannah Ludwig, Heidi Franz, Eri Yonamine and about 8 others got away early on in the stage. An ever dwindling peloton was chasing them and man

When we last left the TCFIA, they had just finished the first two hilly stages, both convincingly won by Mavi Garcia. She seemed invincible, and with a few easy sprint stages next up, it seemed her overall lead was secure. Stage 3 was won by Audrey-Cordon Ragot in a sprint. Stage 4 was another uphill finish, with Garcia the hot favourite. But things went a bit differently with Team Tibco coming 1-2 in the stage, and Lauren Stephens, the rider who managed to stick to Garcia the closest so far, gaining 2 seconds on her.

Yesterday was supposed to be an easy day, another one for the sprinters. The wind had another idea though:
