Ask/Desire: Have alerts except for certain camera automatically pause while home. And to have all cameras alert if I'm away.
I thought geo fence would do this, but it doesn't even pause alerts for the duration listed.
I've spent two hours with ring support with no luck. In short being told geo fence can't do this. I could pick modes in the app such as home/away. I could buy some new alarm base station which is still manual and not automated.
I can't be the only person that has asked for a manner to do this. I get it could be done with modes but I come and go very often and with various different cadences and duration. So a schedule or doing modes in the app many times everyday is just a pain.
Has anyone else been able to find a way to do something like this? Even of using routines or automation method?
I've been using TeslaMate for a while and when I go to look at drives, it will usually show the address/street location of it's start and end points. However, recently, it no longer shows this, only for locations that I saved as a geo-fence. I haven't touched or changed anything.
Anyone have this issue or know how to solve?

So last week Iβm walking out through WF with two carts. I hear an IO alert from a driver walking out the bathroom. Kinda odd but wutevs. Iβm loading up the car and hear a lot lizard driver posted in his car get a IO. Yesterday Iβm bringing back a return and hear an IO in the parking lot again. I come back out and see drivers in the flex zone and two IOs go off again. Iβm starting to see the lot lizards hanging out again. Anyone notice the same? Should I go back to being a lot lizard?
BTW I know what a lot lizard is but drivers who wait in the lot also suck.
Hi Everyone,
Does anybody know if a parent tag will inherit the geo-fencing / geo-tagging capabilities for child tags? As an example, if I have the following tag hierarchyβ¦
(π Each geo-fenced to my preferred location)
β¦and I tag a task with βGroceryβ, will the βGroceryβ tag inherit the geo-fence attributes of its children?
If I need a carton of eggs, I can get them nearly anywhere. So Iβd like to be able to apply a single tag that would fire a geo-fence alert if I am near any of the child tag locations.
Quick Edit: I am experimenting with this right now, but I havenβt had a chance to see if the test item fires off the alert just yet.
Some random guy called me the other day and asked if I was interested in geo fencing. The price wasnβt terrible but Iβm wondering if itβs even worth it? Basically i guess anyone in my area who searches real estate would have an ad pop up of me, kinda like when you search for things and then you start getting ads about them.
One of our cats escaped (people in and out) and I'm worried my Bengal will get out now. I've looked into all the gps/bluetooth/radio pet trackers on the market available here and they are almost all geared to dogs, too big for my cat to constantly wear indoors, or they just suck. Don't really want to do a whole invisible fence really as I don't want him to get shocked just alerted if he gets out the door and again all the collars/receivers are huge. Is there anything available that could notify me via something small attached to his collar that he has left the front or side door?
Is device enrollment required for application geolocation restrictions?
I was wondering if an application access can be limited by geolocation, regardless of whether the device accessing it is enrolled.
Support ticket masters say.........ready for it...........
uninstall and reinstall the app !!!!
Tried that. Then allowed all the permission, set not optimized, and still says phone is inside of Home and I am at work
All,
I am unable to create a routine with location. under "When this happens" , the only options I see are - "Voice" , "Schedule" , "Smart Home" & "Alarms" . What do I need to do to get "Location" as a possible trigger for a task?
Basically, I want Alexa to turn on a switch, when I (with my phone) am approaching a specific location.
Edit: This is an Amazon India account, with the location in India
I'm considering getting one but have heard many smart locks, not just Wyze's, have trouble auto unlocking based on proximity. How has Wyze's smart lock performed in these situations?
For us users
I have Geo-fencing turned on and I put it in a area where I didn't want it to record. But it just ignores my preset?
I was half a mile away from the outer edge of the purple circle and it still said I couldn't record due to fencing. I have to travel even further away for it to start recording, sometimes almost 1mile away. It seems to have no rhyme or reason for why it does this. Sometimes the app functions fine but sometimes it doesn't.
Just wondering if there's some way to set up a geo fence so that when I leave, August locks and Ring arms.
I know that August uses one for when I get home. It's good about unlocking when I enter the geo fenced area. So if there was a way to disarm ring at the same time, that's what I'm looking for.
