Neil Young is god. One of my favorite artists of all time. His career has so many highs it’s amazing to me that he isn’t more universally loved. His second album and his first with his backing band Crazy Horse is just simply one of the greatest albums of all time. It has Neil Young classics “CowGirl The Sand” “Cinnamon Girl” and The title track. All so great and catchy. The deep track “Round and Round” is awesome as well. People often criticize
Neil’s voice but I think it’s one of his strengths. That High octave is so beautiful. HIs fuzzy guitar sound would become the standard decades later. For some ungodly reason RS has this masterpiece ranked 197 lower than the 2012 list. Just amazing how many times this former great magazine gets these rankings wrong.

Opinions on a not know Neil song, “Fontainebleau”. It’s off of the Still Young Band album Long May you Run. It reminds me in parts to Cortez The Killer. I think it’s a hidden gem of his.
