A list of puns related to "Fluorite structure"
Regarding CaF2, we are told that it's a special case as the Ca2+ is bigger than the F- so it is the F- that occupies the holes in an FCC array of Ca2+. However, the next point is that the radius ratio r+/r- of CaF2 is 0.73 which suggests that the cation is smaller than the anion which contradicts the first point.
So initially I thought that the radius ratio meant to say r-/r+ since in this case, the anion is smaller than the cation, but if the ratio is correct at 0.73 then the F- should be occupying octahedral holes instead of the tetrahedral holes they appear to fill now. Because even googling the actual ionic radii of Ca2+ and F- tells me that Ca2+ is larger than F- so I'm confused about this.

Do you guys think it is possible that it is fluorite that is growing on the island?

After years of searching for resources all over the internet, I have decided to try and make my own all-in-one settlement building guide and template. This is an amalgamation of 4 years of DMing knowledge, countless online forums, and bits and bobs from a million different D&D inspirations over time. Hopefully it's an enjoyable, thought-provoking read as well as a great resource for your world building needs.
Special thanks to u/World_of_Ideas for their epic post from 4 years ago that still comes up in Google search as a top result because it's so ridiculously awesome. I've used it so many times over the years, and I'm happy to be able to give it credit today. My list of buildings wouldn't be nearly as complete if it weren't for this fantastic post.
Special thanks to Guy from How to be a Great GM, because his videos have helped me get to a point where I'm confident enough to contribute to this community. He has put so much thought and effort into the intricacies and minutia that go into world building. He truly is a master of the craft.
And special thanks to DnDSpeak.com for this amazing list that I've used about a thousand times over the years.
This was specifically designed for Notion as a template, but I've copied, pasted, and reformatted it here so anyone can use it. Honestly though, if you're a DM and you haven't tried Notion... goddamn, you're gonna love it. It's free to use and it'll change the way you organize your campaign data. If you already have an account, here is the link to download the template. Naturally, it's a heck of a lot prettier and much better formatted there. If you don't have an account, just copy and paste everything below this paragraph and toss it into whatever text editor you feel like using. Or you can use [this link](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-bOZKEDt0-xOEpsUoAJbCgwMYkUCnqY9nMiEQQqC4QY/edit?usp=sh
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am pleased to announce that after nearly a year working on it, Mekanism 10.1 for MC 1.16.5 is finally out (requires forge 36.2.21 or higher).
Before I get into the specifics of what has changed or been added in 10.1, there are a few things I would like to mention; starting with a reminder that while everything in the world should update smoothly from recent 10.0.x versions, it is definitely recommended to make a backup of your world first, as once you update your world to 10.1 if you decide to downgrade your world back to 10.0.x, some of the data will not be properly loadable (and some things will even cause crashes). Additionally, as a lot of Mekanismβs internals have changed there is a chance that any addons or mods that are directly accessing them (rather than asking us to expose things to the API) might break and if they do you should report the crash to them and not us.
I would also like to give a brief shout out and thank you to u/Ridanisaurus for creating the majority of the new textures and models.
In terms of the plans for updating to 1.18 (just to try and reduce the number of people asking), my current plans now that Mekanism 10.1 has been released are as follows: fix a bunch of bugs that got reported to ProjectE in its 1.16.5 lifetime, then work on porting ProjectE to 1.18 as it is a smaller mod and will let me get a better sense of what has changed in 1.17 and 1.18, and finally switch back and work on porting Mekanism to 1.18.
Now with all that out of the way, letβs get to the part you all have been waiting forβ¦ Finding out the larger and more noteworthy changes that Mekanism 10.1 is bringing. Do note that the below lists are not the complete set of changes; there have been many bug fixes, performance improvements, and other minor changes, so if you want to see a more detailed list of changes, please see the changelog on CurseForge that is generated from the commits that went into making 10.1, but be warned it is very long!

As such, since end of the year "Best Of" lists are a hallowed and sacred tradition, I've a couple on hand for the next few days. But let's start with the broadest topic: just pick your favorite pieces of media from any given category (be they ones I did or did not list myself) and argue about why they're the Objective Best Things Ever Made. Let's get to it!
... Is what I wanted to say, but upon trying to put together my picks, I realized I didn't actually consume that much new media this year, because the vast majority of media I experienced and loved either came out last year and blended together in my mind, or is from many years ago and I only just got around to it.
So I'll have to toss out my few pathetic, incomplete categories, and make a "Favorite media from the past that you only experienced this year" thread later if no one else wants to go to the effort.
Games: The easy Game of the Year pick for me is Metroid Dread; it's hardly a perfect game, but it's a stunning return to form for Metroid and worthy of being the long-awaited followup to Fusion. Since my PS4's been broken for half the year, the only major release that I've gotten to play otherwise was Resident Evil Village, which I have many complaints about -- namely with the pacing and structure of the back half, and certain weird writing decisions -- but still hold up as one of the best games in the franchise. And my dark horse pick, which honestly could be my GOTY as well since it's infected my brain so thoroughly, is Deltarune Chapter 2; incomplete game though it may be, its gameplay shake-ups, excellent writing for both gags and serious plot beats, and mind-breaking breadth of hidden content and lore implications sank their hooks into me like no other new game this year.
Live-Action TV: Squid Game has kind of been relegated to the "cringe" pile since it got massively popular with children and mega-rich YouTubers, but that shouldn't change that it's a spectacular series on its own merits. As a death game thriller, it stands out from a crowded subgenre I'm already a huge fan of and all but perfects it; as an emotional story, it gutted me multiple times (though none as deeply as the >!marbles!< episode); as a skewering of both the specific socioeconomic woes of South Korea and the wider disasters of the global system, it's just as infuriatingly on point as *Parasite

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.
The doctor says it terminal.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
EDIT: Updated for clarity in both information and citations
Your "Blue Garnet" sourced from Bekily, Madagascar might not be a garnet at all! I was doing research on garnets of this locality and wanted to write up a comprehensive guide to them due to the shocking difficulty in finding information on them, so here it is!
In the early 1990s, a deposit of vanadium & chromium rich pyrope-spessartine garnets were discovered in Bekily, Madagascar that displayed levels of color changing argued to be even better than alexandrite. This deposit soon ran dry after only a year of mining(4). I happened to stumble across their existence and was instantly hooked. Soon enough, I dug up an excerpt from Secrets of the Gem Trade: The Connoisseur's Guide to Precious Gemstones by Richard Wise that describes one of these garnets(1/2).
>"For the past fifty years, the statement βgarnet comes in every color but blueβ would be completely accurate. The other uncanny thing about this garnet is that it changes color exactly like an Alexandrite. I saw one for the very first time in 1990 during a trip to East Africa. The gem weighed one half carat and looked exactly like an alexandrite from the Hematita strike in Brazil. Others have compared the Madagascar color-change to Russian Uralian Alexandrite as well(1). The price was high but as it turned out I didnβt see another for almost eight years and the next one was not nearly so fine. Excellent durability: The stone is a pyrope-spessartine garnet. This would give the stone a high rating for durability. Both pyrope and spessartite garnets have hardnessβs between 7-7.5. In practice this usually means 7.25, which would be very resistant to scratching. High concentrations of Vanadium with a bit of added chromium appear to be responsible for the color shift.
>
>Like Alexandrite, the Madagascar gem is a night stone. A lady of the evening who puts her best foot forward beneath the light of a flame. The primary hue under incandescent is a beautiful deep grapey purple. Sometimes a tiny bit of red can be seen flashing from the depths of the gem. In finer stones, the afternoon daylight hue is green-gray-blue to blue. A limpid crystalline stone is always beautiful and thus desirable. Beating Alexandrite at its own game: The color change of this gem is truly remarkable.
>
>Alexandrite is a doubly refractive stone, each ray that enters the gem crystal divides into two rays each containing half the rainbow. Alexandrit
