A list of puns related to "EcocyclET systems"
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I said it must be my weekend immune system

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For anyone new to the scene: NFTs are like beanie babies on the blockchain, so all of the hype around collectibles, but alas, with no actual stuffed animal you could snuggle when feeling sad --- and a markup that puts vintage floofy toy whales to shame. 'Bored Ape' NFTs specifically are a popular set of strange-looking illustrated primates that you can right-click and save like any image on the web (but to be really clear that does not mean you own the image, as the actual ape holders are quick to point out!).
Thread sorted by controversial as a starting point. Polarized arguments following recent 'theft' include:
It's the exchange's fault:
> Freezing the NFTs was the dumbest thing they could possibly have done. That's a 10 billion dollar fuck up right there.
> Man it's like they want to hand over the market control to a bigger, better, up and coming competitor for their unsecured NFT marketplace. They're making this too easy, vut then again the bad news is likely intended to to spread more FUD about NFTs overall and scare away new investor
> Cryptos are the next biggest thing but these exchanges like coin coinbase et cetera need to be revamped or this process needs to be handed over to the banks who can monitor this stuff better
It's the user's fault:
> It's not the exchanges fault.
> Secure-decentralized. Didnβt mean secure as in, it got hacked ... itβs the users fault.
> It was me. I used screenshot technology.
It's the fault of NFTs for being stupid:
> Sounds like nfts are a colossal scam to trick dumb nerds out of their money
> Good. Maybe people will think twice before investing into these influencer money laundering pump and dump schemes. Hopefully this is the beginning of the death of this application of NFT's and people will develop actually useful projects next.

The James Webb Space Telescope (aka Webb) is the most complex, powerful and largest space telescope ever built, designed to fold up in its rocket before unfolding in space. After its scheduled Dec. 24, 2021, liftoff from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana (located in South America), Webb will embark on a 29-day journey to an orbit one million miles from Earth.
For two weeks, it will systematically deploy its sensitive instruments, heat shield, and iconic primary mirror. Hundreds of moving parts have to work perfectly - there are no second chances. Once the space telescope is ready for operations six months after launch, it will unfold the universe like we've never seen it before. With its infrared vision, JWST will be able to study the first stars, early galaxies, and even the atmospheres of planets outside of our own solar system. Because she wanted to see the task manager.
Neil deGrasse Tyson was asked about UFOs in a new Irish Times article.
NDT still says he remains completely unconvinced that UFOs are ET in origin and complains about the quality of the Navy videos, but I think itβs a positive sign that he says heβs curious and supports the funding of research done by the new Pentagon office and groups like the Galileo Project.
>Do you think we should fund such investigations in the future?
>Regarding UFOs? Yes, for sure, despite doubts Iβve just outlined. I see it like this. I think some percentage of any research budget should go to investigating flying objects which cannot be identified. That should be an obvious part of the job for any defence system. Is it a threat? What is it? Should we worry? And then, if they do exist, and are extraterrestrial, maybe one day weβll capture one! That would be great. Then we could study it.
>But even that aside, weβve actually had active research programmes ongoing since the 1960s. Weβve been sending out signals, trying to receive signals from potentially intelligent civilisations in the galaxy. The SETI Institute is all about that, of course.
>Now, a new programme at Harvard, the Galileo Project, established by Avi Loeb, is trying to get people to be a little more open to the possibility that there could be alien artefacts floating around out there, throughout our solar system, and beyond.
>Of course, the UFO enthusiast community has always been interested in that, but whatβs different here is that Professor Loeb carries the pedigree of a Harvard professor, and is associating real analytical science with the endeavour. I wish the project the best of luck.
This seems like a much more level-headed response than the flippant bullshit he was tweeting a few months ago. Maybe Iβm giving him too much credit, but this sounds like a pretty big shift in tone coming from him.
TL;DR: The US will not be in conventional war with itself. If anything, it is going to Balkanize. It will be ugly and not a good time.
Few people want to read books on reddit so I am going to keep this one short(er). If you want the long version, I wrote^1 them^2 here.^3 If you don't like reading, Robert Evans' podcast "It Could Happen Here" is a good introduction to these concepts. All sources are linked at the bottom.
Anyway, the term "civil war" has been in mainstream new cycle as of late. Of course many people balk at this idea because they cannot imagine this happening. It must be impossible in today's modern world with all its complexities. The problem is that those people still view "war" in the way it happened in the 1940s: two big sides, attacks and counter-attacks over lines on a map, money and fuel and infantry on the ground trying to outlast each other, etc. It doesn't work like that. War hasn't worked like that for at least the past 50 years.
The signs of a coming civil collapse can be watered down to four indicators:
1. Freedom and rights are disappearing.
The two wings of our neoliberal political system have refused to return liberties to common people and have only intensified their assault on the unalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Healthcare, the right to one's own body, a living wage allowing one to own a house.
2. Polarization, hate, and violence are on the rise.
The 2024 presidential campaign started on January 20, 2021 at 12:00. White supremacy is now mainstream.^4
3. Access to information is limited.
An information silo is a business management term for information that is self-contained and walled off from everything else. I'm not getting into business jargon here, so think of it like a grain silo. Yes, that giant tube with a dome on top next to a barn. It's full of grain and on the top you can even stand on it (don't do that). It looks good, sturdy, stable, just like a new theory you are exposed to. But if you start poking around, there are a lot of holes, cavities, voids. If one of those collapses, then you go do

Big, multicultural empires with a hodgepodge of different species on every world are such a common staple of the mid to endgame that it's honestly kinda baffling that the only way to even get the ball rolling on it is either through conquest or getting all gamey with migration treaties. We know from Syncretic Evolution, Driven Assimilators et al. that the empire editor can handle multiple starting species perfectly well and Void Dwellers shows that the game design is at least somewhat okay with having the player starting out on multiple worlds in the same system so here's my idea for a new origin that I'm actually kinda surprised I haven't seen anybody suggest before:
Two Worlds One Home; This society is descended from two different civilizations that arose mere epicycles apart on a pair of sister planets in the same star system. The invention of wireless communication lead to an optimistic first contact, and the eventual rise of interplanetary travel allowed them to unite under a single flag to venture out into the universe as a people undivided.
Requirements: Must be some degree of xenophile, cannot be fanatical authoritarian or use imperial authority.
Effects: begin with a second inhabited world in your home system and with a secondary citizen species. Both planets will be slightly underdeveloped compared to Prosperous Unification, but will have a small immigrant population of the other species. Secondary homeworld will be of the same category but not the same class as the capital world (ex. if you choose continental your secondary world will be either oceanic or tropical) and no guaranteed habitable worlds will spawn.
I don't know if the home system will be locked like it is for VD, but I was thinking you could even have a special humans-only option like you do for VD where the secondary homeworld is an already habitable Mars. You could even have a quick new preset empire to match; the Solar Peoples Federation, a xenophile-militarist-egalitarian parliamentary Citizen Republic between humanity and the Friendly Fungus People from Mars^TM .
Thoughts?

#Part 4 - Cataclysm
The Leaks
Cataclysm didnβt just contain controversy. For the first time, an expansion was the controversy. So we need to go right back to the beginning to figure out how it all unfolded.
MMO Champion has always been one of the largest platforms for WoW discourse outside of the official forums. And it was here, on the 15th of August 2009, that Cataclysm was leaked. World of Warcraft was no stranger to leaks β there had already been half a dozen, each promising a different vision of WoWβs next expansion - but they were rarely this detailed, which lent these particular leaks a certain credibility.
In short, the premise was this:
The ancient dragon aspect Deathwing (one of the only big baddies left from the original Warcraft games) had broken free from his prison in the centre of the world, and had used his enormous power to tear Azeroth to pieces. The continents from WoWβs first release (Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms] were going to be totally overhauled with new visuals and new stories, as well as the addition of player-flying.
Five new zones would be slotted in around the world too, where players could level from 80 to 85. Each new zone had an elemental theme, which would continue throughout the expansion. They included the lore-heavy Mount Hyjal, the expansive underwater world of Vashjβir, the dark and atmospheric subterranean [Deepholm]( https://i.ytimg.com/vi/k

I thought it might be illuminating to do a dive into what Tom Delonge says he believes after talking to his "advisers". I've taken this from the following interview https://youtu.be/nDlZ4iK0NSo and my own read of the first Secret Machines novel. I'm sure others have much more to share so love to hear more. I am not vouching for it's truth it's completely insane and profoundly frightening if true, but thought you might be interested in seeing this given his pedigree so far .
As others have reported these advisers are allegedly senior generals and figures in the US intelligence services and the military industrial complex. It seems clear to me he does have these contacts based on his known contacts and the information TTSA have got out so far including senatorial briefings, as well as the Navy acknowledgement of UFO's and lately partnership with the US Army. Please also see RedPandaKoala's excellent video and Kiwi's notes (which I've just discovered) - search " delonge notes" in this sub.
Now here's the wild stuff. Buckle up!
He claims:
The Wider Reality:
the universe is teeming with intelligent life of all kinds.
Malevolent ET's are present on Earth have been manipulating humanity for most if not all of our history. The advisors refer to them as The Others.
they may not be aliens as we understand them and are linked to consciousness, or can master consciousness which is the greater reality we haven't learned to tap into yet.
they are parasitical, they feed on human conflict and negativity.
they have inspired world religions for the purpose of dividing us.
They have done so by posing as Gods and providing religious messages from the heavens
They can also implant visions and ideas directly into our minds.
Telepathy is real and the universe is essentially what we might best term "magical".
the people in charge of the cover up believe that the world religious scriptures are based on real events involving manipulation by the Others for the purpose of creating competing belief systems to keep us divided and at war.
The state of human society is fundamentally unnatural and the product of this persistent manipulation.
human civilisation has risen and fallen in cycles that go back way longer than we currently accept.
its likely these cycles have been initiated by the ET visitors.
-his advisers consider the possibility that Atlantis may have existed, That this was one of the high points of one of these cycles when humans had d

throwaway - I am an account manager for a telecom company that provides VOIP phones to companies. There are about 20 of us and our job is primarily to answer any questions about the phones, the service, billing, etc. We have hundreds of clients.
What the boss does is assign clients to each of us based on a rating of how challenging and difficult they believe the end users are. Each client gets a score of 1-10. 1 meaning these are employees at microsoft who are all very techy and will never have to call us asking where they should plug in the ethernet port, and 10 because the client is an old age home and we will get five calls a day from each resident asking how to get a dial tone.
So one account manager may be assigned a client who has 5,000 employees, but they are rated a 1, so it provides them just enough work for 40 hours a week, while another account manager may get a client who only has 100 employees, but they are all tech idiots and call in constantly.
Well when I started, I got assigned a client with a few hundred employees who were rated a 10, so their "algorithm" predicated that it would be just the right amount of work to keep me busy. As it turns out, the client is a highly skilled tech company that actually writes the software for the phones we support, and their rating should have been a 1, not a 10
I get 1-2 calls a week and literally nothing else. When it first was clear that they messed up the rating system, I was a good little employee and notified my manager that they may have not allocated the proper amount of work. I was told that their rating system is near perfect and I should not stir the pot.
So I have not stirred the pot for 5 years. My last call for support was 9 days ago and I literally browse the web all day and attend the occasional meeting. I get my 5% annual raise and full benefits. I will continue until I get caught or something better comes along. Oh, I am work from home full time.
edit - a lot of comments telling me to delete this post but I changed enough about the technology and rating system that I am not worried. Having said that, I have been getting very threatening DMs from some very angry people threatening to do everything in their power to DOX and report me, so this post will be deleted shortly.
When I got home, they were still there.

We have made some waves so far in the financial world. Well this, this is a fucking tsunami. I am actually in a little disbelief and I know I shouldn't be. This is concrete proof that the government is operated by the banks. We've always known this... but this is proof. Liquidity crisis in 2019? You mean at the exact same time Covid 19 began rising in China? Yeah.
I mean, we should be numb to this right? I mean... we "KNOW" the levels of fuckery going on. We know that this reaches into the deepest depths of our government. It is probably deep enough to come right to our hometowns in a "trickle down" fashion. But still... why the fuck are we not doing anything about it?
The kind of systemic change that is going to be required cannot happen through a chatroom. And DC is completely under control from the banks. So WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? u/Loopring? Any ideas? u/DeepFuckingValue?
