David Roberts (Australian actor) Puns

I'm watching an Australian mini series called The Tourist, 2nd ep, up pops Dewey Crowe, and at first I was like "Is that Dewey? Couldn't be, his Australian accent is too good.", so I IMDb the show, bam, it is him, Damon Herriman, and he's from South Australia! It was his Kentucky accent that wasn't real.

ok so there is this kids tv show i cannot for the life of me find or remember the name of! i probably watched it in around 2013. it was all adult actors and stuff, nothing animated and i am australian so it might be an australian show but idk. I also primarily watched abc iveiw and any other tv service that had an app where you could watch episodes as i didnt have a tv growing up so i couldn't watch anything live.
the main thing i remember is that it was completely wordless, like the actors wouldn't speak at all and only communicate through like shaking their fist or whatever.

i dont remember there being much of a plot but there were about 5 ish main characters but i only remember a few, there was this lady, i think she had pink hair and her house was like a cupcake shop or something and it was pink and purple i think,
and there was this other guy who would wear like a yellow suit (maybe with pol,a dots or stripes?) and he had glasses and short black hair, and he would sweep up leaves on the ground and stuff with a rake, he would push around this yellow bin thing and he would sleep in it too, i also think he played the harmonica or some instrument similar (flute or a whistle or something) and the other characters would get mad at him.
I also remember in the intro one character would slide down a blue firemans pole. thats all i really remember dfgjhsdgf i dont expect anyone to know what im talking about because i probably got a lot wrong. idk its just been popping in an out of my head for the past couple years and i always just found it strange that i cant find anything on it.

The movie I’m thinking of is from I believe the early 80s. The only time I ever saw the actor mentioned above in anything else, except he’s in a main/antagonist role in the early 80s flick. Drives a van. The movie is a mystery thriller. There’s a man and woman who are protagonists. There’s some sort of computer game they come across played with a light gun, like the NES Zapper for Duck Hunt. Playing this game reveals information necessary to figure out what’s going on. There is a duffel bag full of money or some other valuables stored in a locker somewhere. At one point the black actor is running down a dark hallway with the bag and the woman, hiding around the corner, pushes a bench in his way to trip him. This is all I remember.

Hi everyone, i’m an actor from WA, currently residing in Melbourne. I mainly had a question for fellow Australians that have made the move to LA or the likes.

How did your process go? What were you doing as an actor in Australia before you made the move? How did you go about getting gigs in Australia and then LA?

Little background- I’m in my mid 20’s and have have been trying to break out into Lead and support roles for a little over a year with no such luck. Some pointers would be incredibly helpful!
