A list of puns related to "Battle of the Tennis Court"
The guy says βWell if itβs anything like tennis elbow, it must be painful!!β
Annette.
Does anyone know if one would be allowed to roller-skate on the public tennis courts at Wilbur Cross on a non-school day, assuming no one wanted to play tennis? Asking for a friend.
Iβd be fine to play in most conditions, but people here are too pussy to do so. So I have two options, hit against the wall or live MiloΕ‘ RaoniΔβs childhood by hitting serves over and over again.
After phasing out of junior club tennis, Iβd now have to show some major commitment to get into seniors. It would be starting all over again, with no guarantee of making a team.
Social tennis is dependent on the weather and peopleβs ability to FUCKING LET US KNOW if theyβre going to show up to the court or not.
Please cheer me up, /r/tennis.
Probably my favourite song of all time and I really really would like to hear it live but I'm worried it's a bit old and he'll focus on his new stuff and the old classics. Anyone know how often he's played it in his last shows?
In Australia, it has been widely reported that Margaret Court feels like the tennis community is trying to erase her achievements in tennis because she is outspoken about opposing civil rights for LGBT people.
We absolutely *must* celebrate the anniversary of Reverend Court's grand slam win - she is the first Australian woman to have done it. And we should take a moment to remind people of that. And, while we're at, we must be sure to refer to her as Reverend Court at every possible opportunity.
Renaming the Margaret Court Arena seems petty to me - the Reverend was a great tennis champion 50 years ago. In her career she won 24 grand slam victories - no tennis player since has done that - Roger Federer has 20, and Serena Williams has 23 so far.
Reverend Court's horrible, divisive, small-minded bigotries don't change that 50 years ago she was really good at hitting a ball in a 200 square meter rectangle to best a single opponent at a time when Tennis was an exclusive sport, played only by gifted amateurs. The moment Williams achieves her 25th grand slam victory, Reverend Court will become an historical footnote, and the answer to a pub-trivia question.
It's my view that we absolutely *must* celebrate that achievement with all the seriousness it deserves.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 23%. (I'm a bot)
