Why? because it wasnt a thing for PSM and its not as simple as just saying "play apple.mp4" i had to write my own video codec that can be read fast enough by the psm runtime.. i tried a few things but none were fast enough xD finally it is now!

In the wake of the announcement on Jonathan Drouin, many people have started to adress the state of the fanbase. While it is speculative to say that the general toxicity contributed to his ills, this discution is one to be had regardless of a specific event underpinning it.
When we talk about toxicity and mob behavior in the fanbase, I often see two reactions. The first is that most of the fanbase is alright and good, and that only a minority acts like this. The second, more spread reaction here is to state that the fans are toxic, blanket statement.
None of those reactions help unless we are ready to act on them.
For those who blame "bad apples", remember the full saying. As the title states, one bad apple spoils the bunch. As a community, we have to hold ourselves accountable for our behavior, and act on it. Reddit offers us tools, like downvoting but also reporting, to help prune the way our community interacts. We've got to try harder in order to fight complacency, the ease of ignoring or being as toxic in return.
This fight against complacency is also true of the second reaction, "we suck". It is a valable point that a certain lack of grassroots actions reflect on the overall community, not just its individual actors. Such a general atmosphere can influence our responses, and we have to take it upon ourselves to act in a more measured way. Re-read your comments before posting. If you are angry, take a few minutes to ward off the impulsive desire to make it known. It is an emotionnal sport, but remember that we are living in an echo chamber of sorts, and if everyone makes a concerted effort to be more civil and more positive, it is everyone's mood that will inevitably be lifted at term, when compared to what it is now. I think it's a fair bet I'm not the only one that dislikes feeling bad, so by being introspective a little bit, everyone wins, especially when the habs don't.
Here lies the nature of the rant: let's stop throwing premade sentences, excuses or fatalism when confronted with ourselves as a community. If we mean what we write, we must start to make changes individually and collectively. The mods can't do everything for us, they are wardens of the rules of the sub, but we make its spirit.
Let's change. At least, I'll try.
I understand that 1) the Atreides and the Harkonnens have been feuding for generations, and 2) Vladimir Harkonnen is an especially cruel and treacherous man.
But even if there was a legitimate cause for multigenerational bad blood between two families, I don't see that requiring that one side is particularly evil. It just means that there was a grievance or some kind of inciting incident back in the day.
Were the prior heads of House Harkonnen as depraved as Baron Vladimir is now? And if the Harkonnens have actually been that heinous for generations, why are the Atreides the only house that seems to have a vendetta with them? Wouldn't they have made more enemies in the past?
So here I am watching videos from Apple's YouTube channel and I can't believe how terrible the video quality is on my Apple TV 4K and Vizio M-Series 4K TV. I played the same video on Safari on my MacBook and captured screenshots of approximately the same frame on both devices.
Apple's YouTube channel content maxes out at 1080P, which though irritating, I can live with. What I can't live with is the horrendous banding, presumably due to the YouTube app's lack of support for wide color gamut / high dynamic range on the Apple TV.
Am I the only one infuriated by this? Is this still about the two companies' pissing contest over H.265 vs VP9?

In Satoshistreetbets or wallstreetbets they remove posts and ban people in a minute. That's why their communities grew strong. Let's cut the bad apples.
I really feel like Microsoft has been Apple's R & D department for the last several years. Let me just get this out of the way upfront. If I'm going to criticize Microsoft for their problems with Windows. If you guys are curious as to what I think Windows looks like presently in regard to the multiple problems it has with the user interface elements looking like they are an amalgamation of several different "hands" putting together one product. I think the monster from the short film "Zygote" on YouTube sums it up fairly well. Link.
I didn't have the time to write a shorter post... The TLDR is: Microsoft stop putting advertisements in the operating system, remove the bloat, make a clipboard app, encourage streaming apps, a new universal standard for parts among OEM makers to compete with Apple, why does the start button look like that, why does the taskbar look like that, why do the apps have names like that, why do the app icons look like that, and why do the apps look like that.
Serious question, does anyone use Windows for Windows? I mean the overall function is nice, but are there a lot of people that use the apps provided by Microsoft? Not a third party developer. Not Office. The apps for Windows. Are any of them enticing? If it wasn't for third party software, honestly, would you even be using the operating system? I would love anyone on Reddit to answer this question with as much detail as they can provide.
This next paragraph shows up later, but I want to single this bit out by putting it at the top and twice to emphasize how important it is.
The Naming Problem. This has almost never been mentioned before, but it is a prominent problem with Microsoft. Naming apps and services. First, lets talk about Microsoft Edge. Are there any good connotations this name has? Edgey. Edgelord. I've seen people use the name "Garbedge." Then there's the nicknames. Edgium. Chredge. Chredgium. I don't know. It doesn't seem like a good title for something. Also, is "Bing" a good name either? It's essentially an annoying sound? Why would you want people to be reminded of an annoying sound, when it comes to a search engine? Are there any other connotations to this title? And since I've mentioned Bing and Edge. Short titles or four letter words, are they a good idea to use as a name? And why are there so many app names with an ampersand in them? Movies & TV. Snip & Sketch. News & Interests. Alarms &
... keep reading on reddit β‘By bad apples I donβt mean cops who probably just made a mistake due to lack of training or just error of being in the moment, however grave the consequences may be (the shooting of a person with intellectual disability comes to mind).
By bad apples I mean the cops who are morally reprehensible. There are plenty of videos and articles about cops breaking things unnecessarily, planting evidence, raping people, otherwise abusing their position, etc.
What steps can realistically be taken, or are taken, to root out those people? They may be small in number, but of course we dont want anyone like that.
