Happy New Year Repladies! Some old-timers might remember me from back in 2017/18. I achieved purse peace (lol jk, just bought an MPA) for a few years, but I caught the 18k jewelry bug and made my way back here. After jumping on two 18k pieces from XiangYao/XY, I realized that I should try the damn jewelry on before buying it. If you don't want to find out the hard way that Sweet Alhambra makes you look like you stole a toddler's christening jewelry, read on.

Since boutiques have no stock after the Christmas pillaging, and judging how a necklace looks with a mask and a Cartier security guard loitering nearby is no fun, I turned to Taobao and Aliexpress to test out the look. But I'm still bougie with sensitive skin, so I only want sterling silver or titanium or, very occasionally, stainless steel* (warning below). Here are some sterling silver jewelry dupes on AE and TB, with a few bonus Dior scarves and Hermes SLGs. I'm not sure if they are all branded, since my priority was finding quality materials & the general look. Obligatory disclaimer: I can't confirm any of them are actually sterling silver, but the price point and reviews seem to check out.

Warning about stainless steel: I don't recommend stainless steel for bangles or rings because in case of an emergency, an EMT won't be able to cut through it. If your hand or finger swells, you will lose your appendage instead of your jewelry.
