> Patients who donβt have COVID-19 could end up in the same B.C. hospital rooms as patients who do have the virus.
>
> Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry confirmed Friday that anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 while admitted to a hospital for other reasons is permitted to be treated in rooms with those who tested negative for the virus.
>
> That would only happen βwith additional (COVID-19) precautions in place, as we would for people admitted with other respiratory illnesses,β she said.

> Sarah Adamsβ husband has been hospitalized at Vancouver General Hospital for three months, slowly recovering from a serious illness not related to COVID-19.

>I'm going on 2 years with my gf right now. I haven't cheated or really considered it, but I think that's because, in my own narcissistic way, I see myself as the "dutiful boyfriend" and "stoic lover" type that wouldn't cheat. In previous relationships I'd considered it more, but feeding my ego with philosophy about how moral I'm being, instead of feeding it with other people is my way of keeping it at bay.
>The result is that I can look at myself completely selfishly and say "goddamn, look at how great you are. Such a fantastic boyfriend. No one knows the immense self control it takes to be me, and that makes me stronger than them." I guess it's kind of a reframe of narcissism in a way.

I just received a test result that says I am positive for strep b - does anyone have experience with this in regard to later pregnancy? Did they induce you early, or is it that they give you antibiotics when you go into labor?
I was a little unclear at the appointment when they did the swab, and wasnβt sure if it meant they would give antibiotics and induce upon finding out you are strep b positive, or if it was something they would control/monitor via antibiotics when time comes for delivery.
Hi all.
Currently dealing with symptoms from the virus, appears I have gotten Omicron but I got no idea which variant.
Late 30's male, J&J vaccine, booster in early November. High bp, moderate cholesterol, prediabetic, quite overweight, fatty liver, seborrheic dermatitis, usual gamut of mental issues us millennials have (anxiety, depression, etc). BP + cholesterol are being managed w/ medication and some exercise. Same for my mental stuff w/ Zoloft. Minor sleep apnea.
1/1 - I went to bed.
1/2 - Morning - Slept like a log, but woke up like I didn't get any sleep. Note, I normally don't sleep this "hard". I've had trouble staying asleep (but not falling asleep) for ages, so sleeping several hours straight for almost the full 8 hours is actually unusual for me. I woke up feeling like I didn't sleep. Trudged through the day but I found myself falling asleep while sitting at the computer, tried to get naps but kept getting interrupted. Went to bed early.
1/3 - Same thing - woke up like I got hit by a freight train, but no other symptoms. Went to work and did my best to get stuff done.
1/4 - Also same thing. Woke up with a runny nose. I have allergies so I thought it was that. I take care of my dad (he's generally able to move around on his own though) and near the end of the day I hear him coughing up a storm. I wasn't near him when this happened so I thought maybe he it was the usual allergies from my apartment.
1/5 - Woke up - again felt like crap. Nose was runny again, nasty sore throat, a metric ton of post-nasal drip, got out my Flonase and thought that was that.
Was about to go to work then I heard my dad coughing like crazy. On a hunch, I start asking him about his symptoms, when they started, etc. He said 1/2, had the chills, was kinda achy, no fever, but generally felt under the weather and his cough started yesterday. He blamed his current cough on some food he was cooking but I became the parent and dragged him to an Urgent Care to get both of us tested.
Quarantined, but I couldn't get my dad to isolate himself from me - our house is too small and he's really bad at following directions. Was coughing up a storm and he was inconsistent with his mask use.
1/6 - Same kinda sleep - slept like a log. Post nasal drip was coming down like a waterfall and felt scratchy. Tried to remote in and get some work done but it was really difficult to stay at my computer for any length of time. Test came back positive for my dad and

test came back for all of these positive. i have been having reoccurring yeast infections for almost a year now and assuming the ureaplasma / group b is causing them. the doctor only prescribed me with 7 days of doxy, is this enough? what else should i ask for or do???
Just found out I tested positive. Did some googling but Iβm super anxious now. Any of you ladies also experienced this during labor? Any advice or info appreciated.
