On my lunch break I read about ASIFA in the book βYour Career In Animationβ, that they suggested people join. It looks like thereβs an associate membership for people that you can get if youβre not in the industry yet, that would allow you access to screening events; is anyone familiar with ASIFA and know if these are generally all in-person in the LA area, or if thereβs a lot of virtual events at the moment for members? Is it something thatβd be worth joining if youβre someone who is looking to get into the industry in the next few years and is not located in California?
Rewatching & I had completely forgot about these two, what was the point in adding them to the show? They brought nothing to it at all!
How did they also just suddenly disappear if theyβre friends?
This just shows the huge anti-Hindu propaganda that our media is orchestrating.
When the Asifa incident happened, the whole Bollywood gang, media, "influencers" came out with #JusticeForAsifa placards.
The media outlets were quick to disclose the name of the victim and rapist. A big no-no for a journalist when reporting rape cases. So they could spin a story around Hindu oppression of Muslims. But when the Rapist is a Muslim, Tahir Ahmad Mir, how many news outlets have even mentioned him in their articles.
Only a gulf news article has mentioned the Girl's name whereas Asifa was trending over twitter. On top of this, cretin like Mufti is asking for Sharia in Valley.
It's a time for #SheToo I'm sick of selective outrage. Why is it that the victim needs to be Muslim and the accused needs to be Hindu to get world attention? https://www.hindupost.in/news/4-year-old-payal-prasad-murdered-muslim-man-rs-1500-debt-owed-girls-father-bhiwandi/
[As a disclaimer - I'm just pointing out the stupidity of /r/worldnews folks. I do not, like many (if not all of us here), support the rape of Asifa or anyone. My comments in brackets.]
I'm just going to post a bunch of comments:
>What makes it even worse was that it was inside a temple. The one place her parents didn't search because they wanted to respect others beliefs
[I don't remember reading anything about this ... source hai kya?]

>You made me open the article:
>βSentenced to five yearsβ - Iβm afraid, many didnβt open the article if they say βthe men received justiceβ.
>And even worse: βA child is sexually abused every 15 minutes in India, according to government crime figures up to 2016, and there has been a steady rise in offences against children.β
[the point is they are amazed at these stats, but ignore their own.]

[above comment: raped inside a temple]
>That was the whole point. They wanted to scare people of other religions out of their own homeland, purifying the Hindu state.
>India is a super fucked up place ruled by religious fanatics who actually called for rallies in support of the child rapists in this case and took photos with them.

>You voted for a religious fanatic organization that murdered Ghandi literally for preaching tolerance (exact reason given by the murderer).
>You voted for a man who oversaw genocide as governor. A man who our intel deemed culpable, to the point that we banned him from the US and UK until you first elected him PM.
>When you overwhelmingly elect a fanatic group who actually fucking rallies in support of the child rapists, because it was in the name purifying the land of non-Hindus, something is definitely wrong.
>I had high hopes for India but Iβm staying far fucking away from that evil religious fanatic hellhole.
[I was going to reply to this idiot, but changed my mind. Gandhi's tolerance is amazing. He wanted the Jews to accept their faith and let Hitler kill them until his heart melted. He wanted the Brits to let Hitler and Mussolini enter their countries and do whatever they want so long as there was no war. There was no bigger coward than Mohandas
