A list of puns related to "Ash Pollard"
Australia: Damien Martyn (avg. over 40 in tests and ODIs, but was pivotal in Australia's batting line-up during the Steve Waugh 90s Era), Brad Haddin (a rightful successor from Gilly, but never got the same amount of recognition. After his retirement Australia struggled to find a someone who can fill this spot in the long-term scheme). Kim Hughes, Brett Lee
India: Sachin Tendulkar in the 90s (self explanatory), MS Dhoni and Ashwin in Tests (played some crucial knocks with the bat and Ash had good spells with the ball. Sadly Dhoni's overseas captiancy record {lack of overseas century too} affected his contribution to India as a Test Wicket-Keeper Batsmen). Dravid, Ganguly and Laxman (helped India compete in overseas tests). Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar, Jadejas (Ajay and Ravi) and Robin Singh. Yuvraj Singh
Sri Lanka: Thisara Perera and Angelo Matthews (key medium pacer all-rounders for their team, provided breakthroughs with the ball and quick runs with the bat). Arjuna Ranatunga in the 96 World Cup is up there too along with Mahela, Sanga, Dilshan. Jayasuriya, Kaluwitharana, and Aravinda de Silva
Pakistan: Shadid Afridi (comes to mind, even though he was inconsistent in the latter end of his career, we still expected the unexpected from him). Shoaib Malik and Haffez joins the list too.
West Indies: Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy (2 World Cups as Captain), DJ Bravo, Pollard (to an extent)
South Africa: ABD, Faf, Steyn, Philander, Morne Morkel, Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla, Kallis, Rhodes and Klusener, Mark Boucher
New Zealand: Boult and Southee (just look at their wickets), Willamson, Baz, Fleming, Martin Crowe, Daniel Vettori
England: Jos Butler (Revolutionised T20 keeper-batsmenship) , Kevin P, Paul Collingwood, Jimmy Anderson, Cook, Flintoff, Ian Botham
Zimbabwe: Flower Brothers
Any others I have missed
Captain Burnhamβs is makingβ¦not a family tree per se, but a tree decorated with all the people in her life whom she feels connected to. Saru, Doctor Gabriel Burnham, Captain Philipa Georgiou, Michael Burnham Sr., Amanda Grayson, Spock as an infant, adult Spock as she last saw him, Emperor Philipa Georgiou, and Sarek. Later in the episode when we see it again, holos of Tilly, Adira, Book, Rhys, Nilsson, Doctor Pollard, Doctor Culber, Stamets, Detmer, Owosekun, Bryce, and even Lieutenant Cristopher have been added.
Book mentions that it happens to be his deceased fatherβs birthday and Burnham mentions that the two men werenβt close. Other Trek characters with daddy issues include Spock, Will Riker, Tom Riker, Julian Bashir, Tom Paris, and Alexander Rozenko.
The plan is to take the USS Discovery into a subspace rift left behind by the DMA when it disappeared and reappeared in the previous episode. Saru mentions that both an Enterprise and a Voyager travelled into similar rifts before, though he isnβt specific and there have been a considerable number of both ships over the years. The USS Enterprise D did travel into a subspace rift in βForce of Natureβ, but Iβm blanking on an instance where the USS Voyager that weβre all most familiar with performed a similar feat.
Saru is concerned about Zoraβs ongoing development, but the Discovery is hardly the first Starfleet ship to develop emotions. In βThe Practical Jokerβ, traveling through an unidentified energy field causes the USS Enterprise to develop a mischievous personality, and the Enterprise D declared it had feeling for chief engineer Gerodi La Forge via a hologram of its creator, which was never followed up on.
Once inside the rift everything is black. Visually I was reminded of of the VOY episode βNightβ and the βhole in spaceβ where the Enterprise D encountered Nagilum in βWhere Silence has Leaseβ.
This episode was directed by Jonathan Frakes, and it is his 25th time in the directorβs chair for a Star Trek episode and/or film.
Zora creates a holographic representation of herself, and weβve been seeing her in the credits all season.
Stamets compares the energy surge Stamets experienced to grabbing a live wire, following in Trekβs long time tradition of using similes to dumb down a concept a character is explaining, as if thereβs some sort of audience watching. See also: βStar Trek: Voyagerβ

Do your worst!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?

So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
When I got home, they were still there.
